Skin contact paresthesia effects (itching, tingling, burning or numbness) are transient, lasting up to 24 hours. Treat symptomatically. Contains petroleum distillate - vomiting may cause aspiration pneumonia. Medical Condition Likely to be Aggravated by Exposure None known. 5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES Fire and Explosion Flash Point (Test Method): Flammable Limits (% in Air): Autoignition Temperature: > 22 F (Setaflash) Lower: % Not Applicable Not Flammable Upper: % Not Applicable Unusual Fire, Explosion and Reactivity Hazards During a fire, irritating and possibly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. In Case of Fire Use dry chemical, foam or CO2 extinguishing media. Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. Evacuate nonessential personnel from the area to prevent human exposure to fire, smoke, fumes or products of combustion. Prevent use of contaminated buildings, area, and equipment until decontaminated. Water runoff can cause environmental damage. If water is used to fight fire, dike and collect runoff. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES In Case of Spill or Leak Control the spill at its source. Contain the spill to prevent from spreading or contaminating soil or from entering sewage and drainage systems or any body of water. Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions outlined in Section 8. Cover entire spill with absorbing material and place into compatible disposal container. Scrub area with hard water detergent (e.g. commercial products such as Tide, Joy, Spic and Span). Pick up wash liquid with additional absorbent and place into compatible disposal container. Once all material is cleaned up and placed in a disposal container, seal container and arrange for disposition. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Store the material in a well-ventilated, secure area out of reach of children and domestic animals. Do not store food, beverages or tobacco products in the storage area. Prevent eating, drinking, tobacco use, and cosmetic application in areas where there is a potential for exposure to the material. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION THE FOLLOWING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION ARE INTENDED FOR THE MANUFACTURE, FORMULATION, PACKAGING AND USE OF THIS PRODUCT. Page: 2

FOR COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS AND/OR ON-FARM APPLICATIONS CONSULT THE PRODUCT LABEL. Ingestion: Prevent eating, drinking, tobacco usage and cosmetic application in areas where there is a potential for exposure to the material. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Eye Contact: Where eye contact is likely, use chemical splash goggles. Skin Contact: Where contact is likely, wear chemical-resistant (such as nitrile or butyl) gloves, coveralls, socks and chemical-resistant footwear. For overhead exposure, wear chemical-resistant headgear. Stringent housekeeping measures are necessary to prevent translocation of the material from contaminated work surfaces to uncontaminated surfaces (railings, doors, etc.). Unprotected contact with such translocated material can result in paresthesia effects (see Section of MSDS). Inhalation: Use process enclosures, local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to keep airborne levels below exposure limits. A NIOSH-certified combination air-purifying respirator with an N, P or R 95 or HE class filter and an organic vapor cartridge may be permissible under certain circumstances where airborne concentrations are expected to exceed exposure limits. Protection provided by air-purifying respirators is limited. Use a pressure demand atmosphere-supplying respirator if there is any potential for uncontrolled release, exposure levels are not known, or under any other circumstances where air-purifying respirators may not provide adequate protection. 9. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES Appearance: Clear straw-colored liquid Odor: Aromatic Melting Point: Boiling Point: Specific Gravity/Density: ph: Solubility in H2O > 76 F 0.96 g/ml 6 (% suspension in water) Insoluble Vapor Pressure < mmhg @ 68 F (20 C) 0. Chronic/Subchronic Toxicity Studies The lowest NOAEL/NOEL that has been established is 5 mg/kg/day (one-year dog study). Neurotoxicity at high dose levels and adaptive liver changes were observed. Carcinogenicity No carcinogenic effects have been observed for permethrin in chronic toxicity testing with rats, mice and dogs. Other Toxicity Information In humans, contact with exposed skin may result in temporary itching, tingling, burning or numbness, called paresthesia. The effect may result from splash, aerosol, or hot vapor contact, or transfer to the face from contaminated gloves and hands. The symptoms normally disappear within 24 hours. Face and genital areas are especially susceptible to this effect. Paresthesia involving the face is also known as "subjective facial sensation" or SFS. This material is unlikely to produce vapor or mist in transportation and be hazardous by inhalation. Toxicity of Other Components Petroleum Solvent Target Organs Active Ingredients Inert Ingredients Petroleum Solvent: 2. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Summary of Effects Toxic to fish and wildlife. Eco-Acute Toxicity Permethrin Technical: Eco-Chronic Toxicity Permethrin Technical: Environmental Fate The information presented here is for the active ingredient, permethrin. Does not bioaccumulate. Not persistent in soil or water. Immobile in soil. Sinks in water (after 24 h). 3. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS Salmonella typhimurium strains. Permethrin had no effect on the reproductive performance of rats bred over 3 generations when fed to them at diet levels up to and including 2500 ppm. The supplier reports that high vapor concentrations (over 700 PPM) may irritate eyes, respiratory tract and may cause central nervous system effects such as headache, dizziness, or anesthesia. Prolonged or repeated skin exposure can cause defatting, resulting in dermatitis. Laboratory animal studies have shown that prolonged and repeated inhalation exposure to light hydrocarbon vapors in the same naphtha boiling range as this solvent can produce adverse kidney effects in male rats. These effects were not observed in female rats or male and female mice. In a number of human studies, there was no clinical evidence of such effects at normal occupational levels.
