RULES - Please take the time to read these rules No substitution/nomination entries permitted. All incorrect entries will be returned. Spurs/dress spurs must not be worn in ANY Mountain and Moorland Ridden classes. Show canes/whips are not to exceed 75cm (30 ) in Ponies (UK) classes, this is only a recommendation in WP&C Soc. classes. Hard hats to the current BSI standard must be worn at all times when mounted Foals must be at least 3 weeks old. All stallions 4 years old and over must hold a current licence Stallions/Colts may not be led by juniors who have not attained their 14th birthday before 1 Jan in the current year. Any pony stallion n/e 138cms or small breed M&M may NOT be ridden by juniors under 11 years of age on 1st Jan in the current year. Stallions exc. 138cms and large breed M&M stallions may not be ridden by juniors under 14 years of age on 1st Jan in the current year. Novice ponies are not to have won 10 or more before the 1 st January in the current year. Exhibitors must not enter an animal bred by the judge or the judge has a financial involvement with. It is the competitors responsibility to ensure they are in the ring in their correct class. No refund of entry fee shall be made if a competitor misses their class. It is the exhibitor/owners responsibility to ensure that the animal to be shown is entered in the correct class. Once the catalogue is printed and forwarded to the WPCS the animal cannot be transferred into another class and the entry fee is forfeited. The Judges decision is final. If there is only 1 entry forward the judge may award whichever prize warranted by that entry. Objections must be lodged with the Secretary within 10 minutes of the class finishing with a deposit of 30 which will be refunded if the objection is sustained. Certain complaints cannot be dealt with immediately and will be addressed at the next planned committee meeting. You will be notified accordingly. Any verbal abuse or aggression towards committee/show organisers will not be tolerated under any circumstances and you will be expelled from the showground. Riders must have attained their 3rd birthday Ponies are to be entered in the name of the Legal owner and with their correct registered name and number. Medals are offered to Champions or Reserves in accordance with WPCS regulations All exhibits in Welsh classes must be registered in the Welsh Stud Book with the exclusion of foals. The EMWPCA accept no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury however caused. Entrants are strongly advised to provide their own 3rd party insurance cover. The Show is run under EMWPCA, WP&C Soc., Ponies (UK) & NPS rules. EMWPCA reserve the right to alter classes or judges without notice. It is the Judge/committees discretion as to whether a class is held up for an exhibitor in another ring. No mucking out of boxes on the ground and no litter please. No Motorcycles, bicycles or Quad bikes on the showground or in the horsebox park. In the event of the show being cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control no refunds will be given. The Committee reserve the right to refuse entries at their discretion. QUALIFIERS: NPS Mountain and Moorland Qualifying Rounds: These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible. Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and non- members but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show at Malvern from 4 th 6 th August 2015. The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final. Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified. NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer Championship Show. From 2015 all qualifying ponies will receive a qualification card. The Owner s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested or the qualification will be forfeit. NPS Silver Medal Rosette championships: : These classes are judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life member of the NPS. A valid membership card must be in the rider s/handler s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member, or the owner s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the qualification card goes to the Reserve Champion pony, provided the owner of that pony is a member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette and the qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible for Silver Medal Championships. Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held at the NPS Summer Championship Show 4th-6th August 2015

WELSH PONY & COB GELDING INCENTIVE SCHEME Overall Gelding Champion and Reserve, to be competed for by the highest placed geldings from each appropriate class within Sections A, B, C & D, generously sponsored by the Millcroft Stud P(UK) GLYN GREENWOOD M&M IN HAND SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP Mountain & Moorland, Stallion, Colt, Filly, Mare or Gelding, any age, registered with their approved Pure Breed Society Stud Books of Connemara, Dartmoor, Dales, Exmoor, Fell, Highland, New Forest, Shetland, Welsh Section A, B, C and D. Qualifying classes are: classes 1-7, 8-13, 18-23, 24-29 QUALIFIERS FOR PUK SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP 2015 AND WINTER CLASSIC 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd places horse/ponies will qualify for the 2015 P(UK) Supreme Championships. Competitors in qualifying positions, who are not current members of P(UK) are allowed 14 days in which to become members and register their horses/ponies in order for the qualification to remain valid. The exception being any competitor qualifying at a show between 1 July and 19 July must submit their membership within 48 hours after the qualifying event in order for the qualification to remain valid. Lee Smith Members are Eligible to qualify for Lee Smith finals at the Summer National Championships. Lee-Smith Competition Cards must be completed and signed by the judge for each National Championship during the judging process of the qualifying Championship. Please apply for your Lee-Smith Competition Card on the membership form. Qualifying classes are: classes 1-7, 8-13, 18-23, 24-29, 31-44. NO QUALIFICATION CARDS WILL BE PRESENTED IN THE RING NATIONAL WELSH CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW to be held on 8 th & 9 th August 2015 at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.
