It is the intention of Super 8 to promote, preserve and enrich cyclocross racing in the Mid Atlantic region by providing events that combine technically excellent courses with good quality amenities in a family and spectator friendly environment.

Leader s Jersey Classes -Leader s Jerseys are provided by the series and will be awarded at podium presentations for each class. Any rider issued a leader s jersey is REQUIRED to wear the jersey during competition. This is mandatory per USAC rules and Super 8 series regulations. Riders in violation will be denied series points and any call up for future series races. In the event of a tie, the Leader's Jersey will be given to the individual with the best result in the most recent Super 8 race. 2. B Race Leaders -The final leaders of the B races (Men 3/4, Women 3/4, Masters 3/4) are ineligible for points in any B race the following season. This is to encourage riders to upgrade to an elite field. Example; the Mens cat 3/4 series champion graduates up to the cat 1,2,3 class in either the senior class or masters class. If they choose to ride in the same class the points are won in they will forfeit the opportunity to collect series points. 3. BikeReg.com Super 8 Reduced Entry Fee - Each season, the cumulative points leader in the elite classes denoted in table I.B is awarded Free Entry Fees for the following year. This privilege is limited to BikeReg.com Super 8 series events during the following season, in the same class that was won. a. Exceptions: i. Entry privilege for Junior series winner applies to any BikeReg.com Super 8 Junior races. If a Junior champion is no longer eligible, because of age, to race in the junior cyclocross race, they may have free entry in a senior cyclocross race. The intent is to promote junior talent, without penalizing juniors for aging. ii. Entry privilege for an individual who wins multiple race classes within a single year will only be granted for a single class; wherein that registration will be for the highest category that the individual won the prior year. Ranking of race classes, from highest to lowest is as follows: ; Masters 35+ ; Masters 45+ 1,2,3; Single-Speed. b. Procedures for Privilege: All riders eligible for free entry are responsible for pre-registering by contacting the promoter during the pre-registration period on BikeReg.com. Staging Procedure and Order
Staging Procedure Riders shall be staged by the rider's assigned bib number. Walk-up riders will be assigned remaining bib numbers on a first come, first served basis. All riders will line up in the order of their numbers, filling gaps as allowed by the officials/callers. Staging will fill the start grid as specified in the USAC rulebook start grid. Staging Order Staging Order will based on the most recent Cross-Results score or Super 8 series standings, using the following criteria: For Intermediate classes: a. All pre-registered riders with points will be staged on the grid, by bib number, in position corresponding to their ranking in the Super 8 series standings. b. Remaining riders will be staged by bib number, in the order of registration. c. All categories will reserve four spots in the third row, which are to be used for promoters discretion call-ups. d. The first race of each year shall stage racers by the prior year s standings; all those finishing with points shall be gridded according to their ranking, unless they are racing in a different class. For Elite/Open Fields a. All pre-registered riders will be staged on the grid, by bib number, in position corresponding to their ranking on CrossResults.com b. Remaining riders will be staged by bib number, in the order of registration. c. All categories will reserve four spots in the third row, which are to be used for promoters discretion call-ups. Those classes consisting of only cat 4/5 men or cat 4 women are staged by order of registration, as indicated in the race flier.
