Welcome Message Competitor Information The Warragul Cycling Club welcomes you to our beautiful home - the Baw Baw Region! The Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort Classic is renowned throughout Australia as one of the hardest one day cycling races, and your attendance at the event this year will further help grow the events reputation. As a small regional cycling club, we are extremely proud to be able to organise and run such a successful race. Many hours of planning and organisation go into running this event, and we are indebted to the many volunteers who offer their time to make the event run smoothly. Registration The race registration will be held in the car park of the Arts Centre, Civic Place, between 7:30 and 9:30am. The Cafe will be closed due to renovations so make sure you pick up your coffee at Frankies Cafe in town. before you arrive. We recommend riders carry their own spares and riders are recommended to place a bag of warm clothes in their lead car for after the race. All lead vehicles will be assembled adjacent to the start line. All other grades will not have tail cars unless we have volunteers from riders support crew wishing to take on this role. If you are able help please notify race director. Should we have volunteers able to assist they will be able to carry spare wheels but will not provide a changing service this will be the rider s responsibility. Please ensure your wheels are identified by name or race number. Feed Zone Feed zone is located at the Neerim Junction township, 46km mark, feeders must ensure they feed between the Start and Finish signs. A bidon dropoff/collection point will be made available. Fines apply if taking on food or drink outside this. Extreme caution to be taken for vehicles travelling to finish from feedzone to finish as there are limited passing opportunities.

Presentations Presentations will take place after the place getters of each grade have finished, Medical Medical cover will be provided by Event Medical Services Australia who will have two medical vehicles in the convoy. Parking Parking at the Mt Baw Baw resort is free - fees only apply during the ski season. Victorian Championship Medallions, 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Voyage Fitness is proud to award the first Gippsland rider in each category with a prize pack. All riders finsihing will be presented with a medallion shortly after passing under the finish banner. Transponder Timing Transponder timing will be used to ensure accurate results. Failure to return your estimated to occurr around 3pm. The VRS series leader jeseys will also be presented. Baw Baw Alpine Resort. Please support our event partners. Race Conditions The Mt Baw Baw Resort Baw Baw Classic is conducted under the road rules and regulations of the State of Victoria. Riders must endeavor to finish unless a mechanical problem prevents them from continuing or they are directed by a commissaire or event official that time limit has been exceeded. Riders caught littering, ie discarding of bidons or food/gel wrappers will be fined $100 and disqualified. Any fines imposed on riders by the Chief Commissaire may also carry a fine from the Victoria Police. Riders must obey the direction of all Victoria Police officers, traffic controllers, marshals, race officials. Due to the narrow roads, it is of utmost importance that riders keep left. The final transponder will result in a fine of $150. 6km climb is held on a closed road however riders must still use extreme caution in case of traffic leakage.
Support vehicles are NOT permitted to follow the race course and must use alternative route. Fines will be imposed for not adhering to this request. Hub Cycling Winner Jerseys Limited transport will be available for riders who need transport back to start area, if you require this service please register your details at the registration desk. Riders briefing 9.45am sharp at registration area. Any Competitor caught urinating within view of the public will be disqualified from the race and fined $100.00. A sag wagon will be following the race should you not be able to continue. A cut off time will be enforced at 1.00pm at Noojee, 56km point and again at 3.00pm at Tanjil Bren 10km from the finish. At this point you may complete the race course but will be deemed a DNF. Should you decide to continue to ride you will not be supported by any race officials and will need to be self-sufficient. Race Numbers & Transponder Position Attach race numbers to your left and right jersey pockets. Frame numbers should be attached to the rear brake bridge or seat post. Transponders should be attached low on the front fork using two zip ties. Numbers must not be cut, folded or modified in any way.
