Lap Out Rule in Effect PenalTes Yellow Card Stop and Go verbal warning Time Penalty :10 seconds for early start / :10 seconds for others Served in TransiTon or Penalty Box Red Card Disqualified Athlete s who receive the Red Card may complete the race, except for those athletes who are lapped out. 41 42 Penalty Box PenalTes not served in TransTon will be served in Penalty Box. Protest or Appeal: Protest: Athlete may file a Protest with Lead Official provided has not been previously observed by Officials and ruled upon. Protest is filed against the conduct of an athlete, an athlete s equipment, an Official, or the conditons of the competton. Appeal: An Appeal is a request for review of a decision made by Officials or the CompeTTon Jury. 45 Protest or Appeal: Generally, Protests or Appeals must follow these steps: 1. NoTfy Lead Official of intent to submit a Protest or Appeal within 5 minutes of finish Tme. 2. Lead Official will provide appropriate form for athlete to complete. 3. The completed Protest or Appeal form must be submined to Lead Official no more than 15 minutes ader athlete s finish Tme. A deposit of $50 USD must accompany the Protest or Appeal form. 46 Protest or Appeal: Protests or Appeals are reviewed by the Lead Official and the CompeTTon Jury. All decisions on Appeals are final.
