Two NHL-size (200'x 85') sheets of ice are the focal point of the Ice Center. The 3,200-seat Steve Coach Cady Arena, includes 2,800 reserved lower-bowl seats, 102 club seats, four opera boxes and six private suites. With standing room included, the Steve Coach Cady Arena has a capacity of nearly 3,700. For an institution with a nationally-prominent NCAA Division I hockey team and two national championship synchronized skating teams, all of which pride themselves on being a "family," there was only one way to go about building a new $34.8-million state-of-the-art arena by keeping it in the family. From the building's conception in early 2002, Miami University has made it a point to embrace the history of its hockey and skating programs in the creation of what is certainly one of the finest. The Goggin Ice Center serves the Miami University and Oxford communities. If you are interested in participating in 'Learn to Skate', 'Junior RedHawks Hockey', 'Public Skating', or any other program offered through the Goggin Ice Center, please contact the Goggin administrative staff at 513-529-9800. They can assist you with any question you have related to facility programming or renting the ice.
