Dashboard Highlights Statewide 54% of 214 fatalities were unbelted, down 9% from the five year average of 59% 214 had the same number of unbelted fatalities as 213 (15), even though 214 had 34 more total fatalities. This was a 12% decline in unbelted fatalities from the 29-213 five year average of 171. Fatalities involving a large commercial vehicle declined 27% in 214 to 49 from the 29-213 five year average of 67 Pedestrian fatalities were up 17% in 214 to 31 from the 29-213 five year average of 27 Fatalities involving a teen driver were down 14% in 214 to 47 from the 29-213 five year average of 55 2 fatalities involving older drivers increased 85% to 2 compared to the 29-213 five year average of 11, which accounted for 51% of 2 total 214 fatalities (39) Unbelted fatalities fell 35% in 3 to 43% (9 of 21) from the 29-213 five year average of 66% Motorcycle/Moped fatalities accounted for 21% of 1 overall fatalities and increased 42% to 25 from the 29-213 five year average of 18 Large commercial vehicle fatalities in 6 were down 84% to 2 from the 29-213 five year average of 12 1 fatalities on horizontal curves rose 4% to 34 from the 29-213 five year average of 24 5 fatalities on state highways fell 14% to 43 from the 29-213 five year average of 5 February 215 4 Strategic Highway Safety Plan
