October 2015 Editor Kathie Richmond Tech Support Frank Richmond Frichmond1@Yahoo.com Presidents Message Hello again fellow TRAVELERS, Well its time for another " SHORT LETTER " as I really have not had an exciting summer. As many of you know our daughter is VERY SICK ( CANCER has returned ). I have kept in touch with many of our members and they all had a very nice, KOOL, Summer. Most of you are now back home and getting ready for our next RALLY in LONE PINE, CAL. and it WILL BE ONE OF OUR BEST RALLIES. The PARK supplies " ALL " the goodies, inc. beer & wine for DINNERS & LUNCH. At least they did the last time we were there. There is a good, fun, PARADE of " OLD TIME MOVIE PEOPLE " on SAT. -- Also thanks to the STEPHEN'S, we are going back to LAS VEGAS in NOV. More details will be given to us by BOB very soon, I know it will be a RALLY you do NOT want to miss, as there is MANY MANY things to see and do, not to mention the " GREAT COOK OUT " we will have ( twice ) in the CLUB HOUSE. Well guy's I hope my next letter will be more interesting, after I have a chance to talk to those who traveled this past summer. --- I got caught peeing in the pool yesterday. The lifeguard shouted at me so loud, I nearly fell in. LOVE TO ALL, & GOD BLESS, your PREZ. Lone Pine Film Festival Boulder Creek RV Park Lone Pine, CA, 2550 S. Hwy. 395 Notice to Ramblers that are attending the rally. The RV Park is still making changes in their activities for the Festival. We will give you the schedules for the activities later. We will not be collecting any monies in advance for this rally. When you arrive at the RV Park register & pay for yourself for the time that you will be at the event which will be Oct. 8-9-10-11 leaving the 12 th. The fee should be $156.00 for the 4 nights with full Hookups. Arrive Oct. 8 th Thursday: evening we will have a light hors d oeuvres at a location to be determined when we arrive at the park. October 9 th Friday: The Lone Pine festival begins. You will be free to attend the events of the Festival. We will have event schedules when you arrive. There will be an Ice Cream Social Friday Evening. I have been told there will be Ice Cream, Cakes and many other sweets at the Clubhouse. Saturday, Sunday & Monday mornings: There will be a Full Breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00 Am each morning. Saturday evening will be Beer, Wine and other snacks at the Club House. Sunday evening will be a Bar B Que at the Club House. Mail to: Dennis Callahgan 3962 Azul Dr Lake Havasu City, Az 86406 Friendly Reminder Remember club dues are due before October. Take a moment to write a check for $25.00 so you don t lose track of it over time. Support Your Club We need more members to attend and host rallies. With participation from all members our rallies can continue on a normal monthly schedule and the costs can be held down. Club houses and sites are less when more people attend. Another way to support Colorado River Ramblers, would be looking for new members to build our membership. With new members comes new ideas and hopefully new enthusiasm. Help us out, volunteer to host a rally and each one of us find one new member. Then watch us thrive like the old days.
