Freakin Nuisance AIM: To develop passing in pairs while on the move. To develop techniques to intercept passes. 4 x cones to mark the play zone 2 Bibs to identify nuisances 1 Renegade ball per pair 1 Renegade stick each Get everyone into pairs and then pick 1 pair to be nuisances. The nuisances wear bibs. Pairs pass a ball back and forth between themselves while moving around within the area. The nuisances try to intercept a pass or pick up a loose ball. When the nuisance intercepts a pass or controls a loose ball, the player that lost the ball takes the nuisance s bib and becomes the nuisance. The old nuisance now has a partner and they begin passing the ball to each other VARIATIONS: Divide everyone into two teams, and play against each other, the aim being to keep the ball in your possession, no tackling allowed, just intercepts and pick up of loose ball. : Control the pace of the players movement at the beginning of the game to avoid collisions by asking them to walk not run.

Scatter Ball AIM: To practice and improve striking skills and team work. 3 x cones to mark the play zone 2 x cones to make the shuttle run 1 x Renegade air goal for home base 6 Renegade balls 1 Renegade stick for each fielder plus 1 for the hitter Split group into 2 teams. One team fields and one team hits. Place a goal behind the hitter Place 6 balls in a row in front of the goal so they can be hit quickly into the field of play. First hitter hits all six balls into the field. Hitter then runs shuttles between two cones that have been placed 10 meters apart. Fielders must dribble or pass all 6 balls back into the goal. Once all 6 balls are back in the goal, hitter stops running and records completed runs. Each team member bats once and then teams change sides. Team with highest total number of runs wins. Ensure the players that are not hitting don t get hit by the swinging stick of the hitter

Scramble AIM: To practice running and passing while developing invasion game tactics. 4 x cones to mark the play zone 2 x Renegade air goals 1 Renegade balls 1 Renegade stick for each player Bibs for one team Split group into 2 teams. Place two upturned goals in the field of play but not right at the ends of the field so they can score from all sides of the goal. Play Renegade with the twist that you can score in either goal and from any side of the goal. Ensure the players don t get hit by the swinging sticks of the person hitting the ball.

Smack Down AIM: To develop power and control of passes in a fun environment. 4 x cones to mark the play zone 1 Renegade balls for each pair or players 1 Renegade stick for each player Choose half the players to line up next to each other in a line with a ball each. The other players line up opposite them (8-10 meters away) without a ball. 1 pair is chosen to stand at either end of the tunnel with 1 ball. The end pair pass their ball to each other through the tunnel. At the same time the other players pass their ball back and forwards to each other, trying to hit the end pairs ball as it passes them. If a player s ball hits the end pairs ball the game stops, the successful pair of player s swap positions with the end pair and the game restarts.

Strike Zone AIM: To develop passing and intercepting skills and to encourage teamwork and competition 8 x cones to mark out playing area 4 x Renegade air goals Bibs for one team 1 x Renegade ball 1 x Renegade stick per player Split players into two teams. One player on each team is designated as being the scorer and is the only player in either team to be in the scoring zone. The remaining players must play in the central zone. Objective is for the team to keep possession and try to get a pass through to the player in the scoring zone who then shoots for goal without moving from the spot where they received the ball. If the player in the scoring zone loses the ball over the backline or side line the opposing team begins with possession at the top of the opposition scoring zone. Ensure the players don t get hit by the swinging sticks of the person hitting the ball.

Tennis Juggle AIM: To develop hand eye coordination and playing the ball when it is off of the ground. 1 x Renegade ball per pair of players 1 x Renegade stick per player Players get into pairs with a ball. Each pair finds a line or a mark on the ground to act as a net. Players pass the ball to each over the imaginary net trying to keep the ball in the air. This can be a competition between each other or pairs can try for a High Score. Ensure the players don t get hit by the swinging sticks of the person hitting the ball Ensure they are spaced out enough so that they don t run into each other.

Warm Up Relays AIM: To develop ball handling skills and to warm up. 1 x Renegade ball per group of 3 players 1 x Renegade stick per player Players get into groups of 3 with one ball. 2 players stand 10m away from their 3 rd player. One of the 2 players dribble their ball to the 3 rd player. The 3 rd player then dribbles ball back across the area. This pattern continues for 1 minute. Change the activity each minute: 1. Dribble on ground. 2. Pass and follow your pass. 3. Dribble ½ way and then pass. 4. Dribble in the air (juggle). 5. Dribble ½ way in the air and then pass in the air for an aerial receive. 6. Free style. Ensure the players don t get hit by the swinging sticks of the person hitting the ball Ensure they are spaced out enough so that they don t run into each other.
