Easter Show Newton Rigg Equestrian Centre Sunday 13th April Run by Nicolle Murray Equestrian Services Outdoor Arena Class 1- Easter Bunny Clear round Small cross poles. Those who jump round clear get a clear round rosette. Riders can be on or off lead rein. Class 2- Wobblies on lead rein (jumps very small) Small cross poles. There will be a short jump off included. Class 3- Wobblies off lead rein (jumps very small) Small cross poles. There will be a short jump off included. Class 4- Ride and Run 55cm Competitors must jump fences 1-7 (55cm) ridden, they must then dismount and jump fences 8-10 on foot (cross poles). A parent of friend may hold the horse/pony while the competitor is jumping on foot. Fastest time with the least faults will win. Class 5-65cm Course at 65cm and a jump off to complete. Class 6-75cm Course at 75cm and a jump off to complete.

Class 7- Ride and Run 85cm Competitors must jump fences 1-7 (85cm) ridden, they must then dismount and jump fences 8-10 on foot (small jumps). A parent of friend may hold the horse/pony while the competitor is jumping on foot. Fastest time with the least faults will win. Class 8-95cm Course at 95cm and a jump off to complete. Class 9- The Accumulator A fun class with jump heights for everyone! (65cm, 75cm, 85cm, 95cm, 105cm) Each rider will have one minute to jump as may fences as possible, from either direction. Each fence will have points allocated to it (bigger fences will be worth more points), and can be jumped a maximum of three times each. However, if a fence is knocked down competitors will be unable to jump that fence again. Upon the sound of the whistle the rider must have landed over any fence they are jumping for the points to be awarded. Fun Classes Indoor Arena Class 10- Fancy Dress (Easter themed) Class 11- Bending Bunny race Class 12- Walk trot and lead Class 13- Sock race Class 14- Egg and spoon race (on foot) Class 15- Hopping high chase me Charlie (on foot) Class 16- Limbo (on foot) THIS SHOW IS FOR ALL AGES & Abilities! Class 1 will start at 10am. Classes will run in order. Rosettes to 6th place will be awarded in the jumping classes along with a small Easter prize. For the fun classes a small Easter prize will be

awarded. A PRE ENTRY offer of 5 classes and a small Easter Egg for 25 is available. If you would like to enter more than 5 classes for 25 then it will be 3 per extra class. For those who do not want to do 5 classes, PRE ENTIRES for Showjumping classes are 7 per entry and fun classes are 4 per entry. ENTRIES ON THE DAY ARE 50% EXTRA. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the younger competitors after Class 9. Refreshments will be available. Fun classes may be split into age sections depending on the amount of entries received. HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY FOR THIS EVENT 1. The Organiser has overall responsibility for Health and Safety. 2. The event is organised in accordance with health and safety legislation and all who have (to any extent) control of premises or site at the event are responsible for ensuring that: a) Everything reasonably practicable is done to ensure health and safety and welfare of those attending the event. b) Those attending the event conduct themselves so that they do not put themselves or anyone else at risk c) Access to and egress from the site is safe 3. Emergencies-emergency services must have access to all parts of the event site at all times and members of the public must not park vehicles so as to obstruct access. First Aid points are clearly marked. In case of emergency, members of the public should contact the nearest official or dial 999 on the nearest telephone. 4. Horses can easily be frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public are requested to keep clear from horse areas/lanes and to avoid behaviour which might alarm horses. 5. Dogs MUST be on a lead and under close control at ALL times.

6. All competitors must ensure that they have adequate/appropriate insurance for themselves, horses, property and third party. RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. The Judge s decision is final 2. Legal Liability: neither the Organisers nor any persons acting on their behalf accept any liability for loss, damage, accident or illness to ponies/horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property. 3. The organiser reserves the right to alter or amend the schedule. 4. Any objections or protests must be handed into the Show Secretary in writing within 15 minutes of the incident with a 20 deposit (which will be forfeited if objection is not upheld) 5. Hard hats to the standard acceptable to British Riding Clubs (see their website) must be worn and correctly fastened at all times whilst mounted. 6. The organiser reserves the right to alter the schedule or how classes are run/judged. 7. The organiser reserves the right to ask anybody to leave the show ground.
