LATE FEE: $10.00 will be charged for any entry received after August 17, 2018 at 5:01 p.m. at the Superintendent s discretion. All substitute exhibits must be entered at the Livestock Office by 12:01 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018 in order to show. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED PAST THE FRIDAY WHEN THE FAIR OPENS. ENTRY FORMS: ENTRY FORMS: Forms available online at: www.funatthefair.com and select the Exhibitors & Competition button which is on the right side of the home page. Entry forms must list name and registration numbers of animals entered and name and registration numbers of sire and dam. All exhibitors and their helpers are required to produce the registration certificates for each animal if requested. Exhibitors may make as many entries in each class as desired, but no exhibitor will be allowed more than two premiums in any one class. ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS: See E.I.S.F. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS SPECIAL DEPARTMENT RULES: A. PENS MUST BE CLEANED BY 8:00 a.m. each day and refuse disposed of as the Superintendent may direct. Exhibitors will be responsible for cleaning their own stalls. B. Semi-Trucks & Trailers CANNOT BE PARKED in the vicinity of the livestock buildings used for loading and unloading only. Semi-Trucks and Trailers are permitted to park in the designated area located on Royal Street, west of NW Gate #6. (see map in General Rules ). All vehicles, trucks and trailers must be out of the barn area by 10:00 am each day of the fair. 2 P age

C. All breeds will be shown according to that breeds rules as long as the 2 exhibitors and 20 animal quota is met. D. All male cattle in the department, calves excepted, must have rings in noses. Aged bulls must have an extra neck rope. E. Any breed having less than 20 head exhibited for two (2) consecutive years will be required to show in the All Other Breeds division after that and their division will be dropped from the premium book. F. Calves are not to leave the premises to nurse. G. No cooking or camping is allowed within beef barns. H. Signs advertising animals for sale are not permitted. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: 1. All female cattle over six months of age offered for exhibition purposes at the Eastern Idaho State Fair shall have an official, legible Brucellosis tattoo and official orange Brucellosis tag or silver USDA tag. 2. All sexually intact cattle over 18 months of age that have lived in the Brucellosis Designated Surveillance Area (DSA) between January 1 st and June 15 th shall have an official negative agglutination blood test for brucellosis within 30 days of the date of entry. Blood samples, tests and reports must only be done by personnel authorized by the Idaho Department of Agriculture. Out-of-state cattle must meet Idaho Shipment Regulations and be accompanied by a current health certificate. 3. All cattle subject to inspection at the Fairgrounds. 4. Special attention will be given to an animal having an oral and/or nasal discharge, which is a possible sign of Vesicular Stomatitis. These animals and all other animals in the consignment will be refused entry until the cause of the discharge is determined. OUT-OF-STATE: All out-of-state entries must be accompanied by a Health Certificate. Any livestock (equine, bovine, porcine, caprine, ovine, or cervidae) entering Idaho from a premises where Vesicular Stomatitis has been diagnosed within the last thirty (30) days shall be accompanied by a certificate of veterinary inspection dated within fourteen (14) days of entry containing the following statement All animals identified on this certificate of veterinary inspection have been examined and found to be free from Vesicular Stomatitis. During the last thirty (30) days, these animals have neither been exposed to VS nor located within an area where VA has been diagnosed. BEDDING: Wood shavings will be provided at the beginning of each half of the Fair. In place at the 1 st half and one bag of shavings per 2 animals will be provided for incoming cattle for the 2 nd half. Straw will be provided, one bale for each 2 animals for the tie-outs. The use of straw is prohibited in the beef barns. Any additional shavings needed can be purchased at the Livestock Office for $8.00 per bag. Only one grooming chute per exhibitor is allowed in the barn. Addition space is available in the open barn at the end of the long barn. 3 P age

2018 EASTERN IDAHO STATE FAIR OPEN MARKET ANIMAL CLASSIC Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the Beef Show Barn Arena WEIGH IN: Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. ENTRY: Wednesday, September 5, 2018 following Weigh In This show is not limited to youth only entries; however, they are encouraged. The exhibitor will be competing for premium money only. There will not be a sale for these animals. Class size will be determined by weight and by number of entries. Minimum class size will be 4 entries. There will be only one class for less than 8 entries. Entry fees will be split between the top 2 places per class 50%, 30%, and 20%. The EISF Board has provided a $500 base to which will be added donations from other Sponsors. This money will be divided between the top 3 winners overall, 50%, 30%, 20%. An entry fee of $25.00 must be paid at the Livestock Office before animals will be allowed to show. Weigh-in is between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM Wednesday, September 5, 2018. Animals must be on the grounds by 1:00 PM the day of the show and will be released following the contest. Complete information including name, address and phone number are required to facilitate premium payment. The chairman for the committee is Rene Bradley. If more information is needed, please call (208) 335-2108 (home) or during the fair (208) 709-3056 (cell). The following rules will apply to this show. 1. An animal may have been shown in a previous show such as a county fair. Rule IV Livestock #2 in General Rules of Exhibitor Handbook will apply. They will be entered under the owner s name but may be shown by a different handler. 2. Animals that have been shown and sold at a county fair are eligible to be shown at this show. 3. Animals will be judged on as is criteria the day of the show. Performance data is not needed. Rule IX General Health #5 in General Rules of Exhibitor Handbook will apply to all animals entered for this contest. 4. All health and ownership requirements are the same as other open beef entries. Ivomec treatment for parasites is required. 5. Animals will be weighed for class divisions at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. 6. Animals must weigh over 1000 lbs. 7.
