PRINCETON SQUARE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, Inc. 2014 Swimming Pool Rules The use of the Princeton Square pool facility is provided as a benefit of membership, to residents in good standing, in the Princeton Square Homeowners Association. These Pool Facility Guidelines are established by the Princeton Square Board of Directors to promote a safe and enjoyable environment at the pool facility for all residents and their guests. The operation of the pool facility is under contract to a pool management company. The pool management and staff are responsible for enforcement of these Swimming Pool Rules. The Lifeguards and Manager-on-Duty (MOD) have the authority to enforce more stringent rules than those listed here to ensure the health, safety, and comfort of all participants. Participants not abiding by these rules may be asked to leave the facility and may also be subject to suspension or termination of facility privileges. 1. POOL HOURS: SWIMMING Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Sat Sun HOURS (12:00PM-7:30PM) X X X X X a. The Pool will be open from 12:00 PM 7:30 PM on holidays such as Memorial Day, Labor Day and the 4 th of July. b. The Pool will be open on Saturday, Sunday and holidays only while school remains in session.
c. Hours are subject to change due to weather conditions, Association functions, and unanticipated maintenance. Notification will be given, by posting an announcement at the pool gate when it is necessary to change the hours. 2. ADMISSION and AGE LIMITATIONS: a. Each person entering the Princeton Square pool facility must display proof of address and a pool pass b. Princeton Square residents in good standing are admitted to the pool based on a list that is provided to the Pool Management Staff: i. Proof of residency shall constitute a valid driver's license, voter's registration, utility bill, etc. c. Princeton Square pool access privileges vary based on swimming skill, age, and/or documented parental permissions. Lifeguards will verify swimming privileges. Privileges granted based on age or parental permissions. i. Princeton Square residents under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult. ii. Any discrepancies about a resident s standing must be addressed with Management by emailing. 3. GUESTS a. Each resident age 18 or older may bring up to five (5) guests to the pool if they are a member in good standing. This may be extended at the discretion of the Pool Management staff depending on the number of residents utilizing the pool on a given day. b. A resident under the age of 16 may not bring a guest. c. A resident age 16-17 may bring one guest, age 13 or older. d. Guest privileges as well as admission of any guest cannot be guaranteed during busy days. e. Residents must remain with their guest(s). 4. POOL MANAGER and POOL STAFF a. The Pool Manager or Manager on Duty (MOD) has the authority to enforce these pool guidelines and rules, and to delegate such authority to any member of the Pool Staff. b. The Pool Manager has the right to eject any person violating these guidelines and rules from the pool facility and surrounding Princeton Square Association property.
c. The Pool Manager and any member of the Pool Staff has the right to revoke or suspend pool privileges for violation of these pool guidelines and rules or any other disruptive behavior. d. The Pool Manager will report in writing any guideline and rule violation or incident which has resulted in a person s ejection from the pool or suspension or loss of pool privileges to the Princeton Square Board or Manager within forty-eight (48) hours. e. The Pool Manager or a member of the pool staff has the right to demand that anyone utilizing the pool pass a swimming test. Refusal to take the test upon demand or failure to pass this test voids use of the pool. Any complaints by residents or non-residents must be addressed to the Association in writing via the email address provided below. 5. GENERAL RULES (Violation could result in immediate ejection) a. No obscene and/or profane language. b. No running. c. No loitering. d. No horseplay or other sports activities. e. No front or back somersaults (flips). f. No littering. g. No gum chewing at any time. h. No spitting on the pool deck. i. No hair appliances/accessories (barrettes, hair pins, curlers, weaves, etc.) j. No food or beverages on the deck area around the pool. k. No breakable containers permitted. l. No illegal drugs or tobacco products at any time in the pool area. Smoking is permitted outside the fence only. m. No alcohol during normal pool hours. Pool staff may request that coolers/containers be opened for inspection at the gate in order to enforce this regulation. n. No Face masks and snorkels. o. No cut-offs or shorts may be worn in the pool. p. No hard-sole shoes, soft rubber soles or bare feet only. q. No children under 5 years old in the pool unless accompanied by a swimmer at least 16 years of age. r. No electronic devices with 15 feet of the pool. s. All bathers must shower prior to entering the pool. t. Only USCG approved life jackets may be used as flotation devices.
u. Generally, toys are not permitted in the main pool. However, Pool Manager may make exceptions at their discretion. v. T-shirts (plain white) and Ultraviolet shirts may be worn in the pool. w. Pool furniture is allowed no closer than approximately 15 feet to the edge of the pool. x. A ten-(10) minute Safety Break (during which only adults may swim (18 years and older)) will be observed each hour. An adult may accompany one infant (up to age 3) in the pool during this period. y. Headphones are preferred, however music may be played at a volume that s not disruptive to others, and as long as no complaints are received from other pool patrons. z. Princeton Square is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles. 6. WADING POOL a. Only children age five and under will be allowed to use the wading pool. b. A person who is 16 years or older must accompany and remain within the wading pool fence with each child using the wading pool. c. No large floats permitted in the wading pool. 7. DIVING a. Diving is not permitted at any time. 8. HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS a. Admission will be denied to anyone with open sores, skin abrasions, bandages, nasal or ear discharges, or any kind of obvious, contagious medical conditions. b. Babies must wear rubber pants over their diapers. No paper or disposable diapers in the pool. The Pool Manager or a member of the Pool Staff may refuse to admit families that do not comply with this rule. c. No spitting or spouting of water. d. If there is a solid stool fecal accident in the water, the pool will be closed to disinfect the pool water and filtration equipment. e. If there is a vomit or blood accident in the water, the pool will be closed to clean, disinfect, and vacuum the pool. f. If there is a loose stool fecal accident in the water, the pool will be closed for an extended period to disinfect the pool water, filtration equipment, and vacuuming equipment.
9. MISCELLANEOUS a. Princeton Square assumes no responsibility for providing shelter after the pool is closed unexpectedly (i.e., inclement weather). Pool will close for thunder, lighting, or other weather related events. b. No bicycles or skateboards will be allowed in the pool area. c. Floatation devices and usage will be permitted under the discretion of the pool management.
