RING ONE 9.30am sharp JUDGE: TBC CLASS 1 BEGINNERS WORKING PONY Any type/breed Rider 16 years and under, snaffle bits only. Lead rein is optional and should be attached to the noseband, will be required to jump a course of fences and perform an individual show, walk and trot only Height of fences (1ft / 30 cm approx) Class will be split LEAD REIN and OFF LEAD REIN CLASS 2 NOVICE WORKING PONY Pony any type/breed - not to have won 2 or more working classes, will be required to jump a course of fences and perform an individual show. Height of fences (1ft 9in 2ft/ 55-60cm approx) CLASS 3 NOVICE WORKING HORSE Horse any type/breed - not to have won 2 or more working classes, will be required to jump a course of fences and perform an individual show. Height of fences (2ft 2ft 3in/ 60-70 cm approx) CLASS 4 RIDING CLUB HORSE/PONY Rider any age to be suitable mounted. Will be required to jump 2 or 3 jumps (2ft 2ft 3in/ 60-70 cm approx) and perform a small individual show. Champion and Reserve Champion will then be able to compete for Supreme of Show. SUPREME CHAMPIONSHIP OF SHOW- To be held in Ring one Champion and Reserve Champions from RING ONE, RING TWO and RING THREE to compete for Supreme of Show. This will be judged by all three ring judges. Supreme Champion will receive a Supreme Champion of Show Sash. D.H.H.S CLUB RULES 1. THE JUDGE S DECISION IS FINAL. 2. LEGAL LIABILITY - Neither the Organisers, nor any person acting on their behalf accept any liability for any loss, damage, accident, injury or illness to horses, riders, spectators or any other persons or property whatsoever. 3. HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE - The Organiser of this Event has taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the written or verbal instructions of the Organiser and all the Officials and Stewards, who will also not be liable for any claim in respect of damage, loss, injury or accident to any person, horse or property howsoever caused. It shall be deemed a condition of entry that each entrant has read and under- stood these terms and conditions and shall indemnify DHHS or any person acting on their behalf against any legal action arising from such an incident 4. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 16 YEARS - must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. 5. JUDGING - All classes will be judged under and in accordance with the relevant ruling body. 6. WORKING CLASSES Classes will be judged according to DHHS showjumping rules with regard to penalties. 7. DRESS - Competitors must at all times wear correct riding clothes complete with jacket (BSJA rule 101.1) whenever they enter the arena. Long hair should be tidy and secured appropriately above the collar. Jewellery worn anywhere on the body can increase the risk of injury and competitors are strongly recommended to remove all jewellery. 8. SPURS - Under 16s NO SPURS but may take part as H/C (Hors Concours translation without competing) therefore allowed to participate but not eligible for placings. Seniors - Spurs are only to be worn in the traditionally correct manner, with the curve of the neck of the spur directed downwards. The misuse of spurs is an offence under BSJA rule 82.4, but riders must also take care that the manner in which they use their spurs does not offend the public contrary to BSJA rule 82.1. Spurs of excessively severe design are not to be worn. Such designs include spurs with necks in excess of 3cms long, necks set on the inside of the heel, rowel diameters in excess of 1cm, roughened or cutting edges, serrated spurs, with or without necks.( BSJA 101.9) 9. HATS Bowlers or hunting caps are worn at competitor s own risk. Junior riders must wear protective headgear which includes a retaining harness secured to the shell at more than two points. Such headgear must be worn with the chinstrap properly adjusted and fastened while mounted (BSJA rule 267). It is mandatory for all hats to comply with the permitted hat standards as updated 3 rd Jan 2017 PAS 015 98, PAS 2011 + KM, VGI + KM, SNELL E2001, ASTM F1163 2004 + SEI AS/NZ 38.38 2003 onwards + SAI.
10. ENTRIES Are payable on the day at the time of booking. 11. REFUNDS - Will not be given once classes are entered. 12. RIDDEN HORSES/PONIES - Must be 4 years old or over. 13. STALLION/COLTS - Must be kept under control at all times & not handled by anyone under 14 years. All stallions must have blue ribbon in tail. 14. DROPPINGS - To be picked up. 15. DOGS - Must be kept on leads and all dog mess cleaned up. 16. RUBBISH/LITTER - To be removed from showground or placed in bins provided. Thank you and hope you have an enjoyable day
