Packers are to provide their own horses/mules and equipment which includes: saddle, halters, pack saddle, panniers or boxes, mantees and 1 lash rope. When done loading they will be required to get on their mount and take their pack animal around a cone and finish at their camp. Time and the correctness of their load will be judged. Load must be clean (no disqualifications) in order to win. The packer may reload the animal as many times it takes before they cross the finish line.
