Senior Football League Valleys travelled to Clonakility on Sunday afternoon to take on the hosts in round 9 of the SFL. Playing with the aid of a stiff breeze in the opening half the Rovers played some good attacking football but wasted some good chances in front of goal. However the Rovers went in to the break leading by 1-7 to 1-3. A couple of changes at halftime and some positional switches made a difference facing the breeze and Valleys killed the game as a contest early in the 2nd half with two quick fire goals and dominated proceedings there after running out convincing winners on a final scoreline of Valley Rovers 3-14 to Clonakility 1-7.
