A highly anticipated event, our 2018 tournament is returning to the beautiful and exclusive Annandale Golf Club in Pasadena with its rich tradition and storied history. We re proud to offer a full day for golfers, including 18 holes of golf in a spectacular setting, on-course lunch, cocktail reception, celebration dinner with excellent cuisine, and exciting live and silent auctions. You do not have to be a golfer to participate in Doglegs, Birdies & Eagles. There are many ways to help the animals at PHS through this event. You can be a sponsor, advertise in our event program, or donate an item for our auction or swag bag given to all golfers. Or you can join us for cocktails and dinner following the tournament. (Golfers can also purchase additional dinner tickets for spouses, significant others, and friends.) All proceeds from Doglegs, Birdies & Eagles will help provide food, shelter, and veterinary care to the more than 11,000 animals who come through our open doors every year, and will assist us in placing these animals in safe, loving, forever homes. Founded in 1903, the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA is an independent, donor-supported, nonprofit animal welfare organization. As a full service shelter, we welcome and provide care to all animals regardless of age, medical condition, breed or any other criteria. Our goals are to provide programs that strengthen the human-animal bond, reduce the number of unwanted animals, and keep animals in homes and out of shelters. Your Donation Supports: Animal Care: Food, shelter, and veterinary services for more than 11,000 animals each year. Placement Programs: Animals find homes through adoption, lost and found service and foster care. Wellness Services: Affordable public spay/neuter clinic, low cost vaccination clinic, free behavior helpline. Education Programs: Children and adults learn about humane treatment of animals through workshops, obedience classes, speakers, seminars, events, and camps. Helping Paws: Outreach programs, like mobile vaccine clinics and a food bank, to help pets and people going through difficult times. Annandale Golf Club Annandale Golf Club was established in 1906 by several prominent members of the Pasadena community, including Henry Huntington, the famed railroad magnate and philanthropist, and George S. Patton Sr., father of the famous U.S. Army General. Over the years Annandale has counted among its members the Gamble, Kellogg, and Weyerhaeuser families who sought the mild climate of Southern California as a retreat from the winters of the Midwest and the Northeast. Paul Runyan, two-time winner of the PGA Championship and member of the World Golf Hall of Fame, was the club golf pro in the 1950s and a club member at the time of his death in 2000. The 6,612-yard golf course was originally designed by William Watson and Bill Bell. In 2007 it underwent a major renovation and then again in 2015, when the Club conducted another significant transformation in order to create a more eco-friendly and water-wise course. More than 18 acres of turf were removed to enhance the beauty and natural surroundings of the golf course. This allowed for better framing of each hole while creating wide sweeping vistas of the course throughout the round. Members and guests of all golfing proficiencies will find the course appealing with its various tee combinations, unique bunkering, and challenging putting surfaces. The heart of Annandale the panoramic view, the beautiful grounds, the warmly incomparable clubhouse, the friendly and impeccable service has remained a vibrant Pasadena jewel and a much-loved, family-friendly home away from home for members, their families, and their guests.
