The Tournament The aim for 2018 s Bolt Action events at MOAB is for all players to have a great time rolling dice against fellow enthusiasts in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Theatre selectors will be allowedd in addition to standard generic reinforced platoons so that players can assemble a force that reflects their interests and players are encouraged to provide a historical year and a theatre or even a particula battle that their army is based on. The armies for the event may consist of one or two reinforced platoons. All lists will be checked to ensuree that as far as possible the game will be enjoyable for both yourself and your opponent. We will be using the Bolt Action version 2 rules with scenarios taken from the Bolt Action Version 2 Rulebook and previously used Bolt Action Alliance scenarios. Actual scenarios will be published after the closing date for list submission TWO EVENTS TO CHOOSE FROM F SAT 29th SUN 30th 5 Games (3 on Sat, 2 on Sun) 1250 Points from generic or theatre lists 18 point dice limit Monday 1st 2 Games 1600 Points P Doubles Tank War Rules 2 Platoons, 800 points per player 1 Infantry Platoon 1 tank Platoon What you need to bring A Good Attitude Your list The Bolt Action Version 2 rule book together with errata or FAQ s the mightt be relevant to your army. Tank War book. (If you don t have a copy have no fear a copy of the tank war scenario will be provided) Army of supplement that relates to yourr force. Measuring tape, pin markers, order dice, d6 dice. Three objective markers. Your painted army. (Please don t forget this!)
The events will use the Swiss Tournament with historical pairing where possible. Scoring will be as follows: 15pts: win: 10pt: draw: 5pts: loss 1pt: killing highest ranked enemy officer. WANTED: Terrain If anyone can bring a 6x4 table of terrain & mat/cover m please let me know: baactcon@gmail.com 1pt: keeping your highest ranked officer alive. 1pt: killing highest cost enemy unit 1pt: keeping alive your highest cost unit. 1pts for having an infantry unit (not vehicle) within 12 of opponents table edge. Payment & Registration: Register for the event on line by visiting the MOAB 2018 website List Submissio on: Force lists are due by Friday 21 st September. Lists need to be emailed to the following email address: bdmedbury@ @bigpond.com. Army lists may be submitted in any format but use of Boltaction.easyarmy.com is preferred. Armies should be preferably be painted with at least a basic paint job but b as the intent is to encourage new players the stage of painting your army is at should not discourage entry. Models used should reasonably represent what iss in the list. Ie WYSIWYG (What You See If What You Get) We are open to historical/themed counts as substitutions where there is enoughh commonality between units to not be misleading. For example, you couldd use a M13/40 model to count as a Stuart tank in an Australian Desert force (representing a captured Italian tank) The TO s would love to seee an Italian alternative to an LRDG list. If you are unsure about this submit your list early.. Grudge matches can be arranged for Round 1 if you advise the TO s with submission of your army
What you can field- Army Restrictions Army lists can be compiled either generic reinforced platoons orr theatre selectors Army lists must be limited to 18 order dice. Tiger fear will apply to the Panther Tank and to any German tankk of greaterr value having this special rule. Army lists may contain only one flamethrower. Army lists may contain only one forward observer.
