~~ Prizes ~~ How Many Rubber Ducks in the Jar Contest Jar displayed for five weeks - Friday, July 22 winners announced Only children who have signed up for the Summer Reading Program Check out a book before each guess, One guess, per child, per day. All Branches Every Friday of the Summer Reading Program, children who check out a book, can reach in the grab bag for a prize, one per day, per child. We will have surprise drawings for prizes during some of our programs. You never know when, so come as often as you can. ~~ We will be giving away ~~ 10 - Leapster 2s (3-6 year olds ONLY) 10 - Sony Belt Clip Radios (7 10 year olds ONLY) 10 Ipod Shuffles (11 14 year olds ONLY) 10 4 GB Video MP3 Players (15 18 year olds ONLY) We will draw the winning names July 25. Party to celebrate and receive prizes on August 1st. RULES: Sign up for the Summer Reading Program and enter your name in the drawing. For each book you read you can fill out a book review slip and enter your name again. (Maximum review slips that can be filled out per week is 10.) Children 7 and older must fill out their own book review slips in view of a staff member. The book review slips cannot be taken home. Staff and their family members are not eligible. Non-readers and beginning readers may use TUMBLE BOOKS (e-books for kids) Every READING participant is entered in the GRAND PRIZE drawing. Laptop Computer and Printer Don t forget, you also will get a SRP certificate Our website will recognize The school with the most sign-ups. The winning school will receive a special City of Readers trophy.

It s just a little hop, leap and a jump to the Petersburg Public Library System s Summer Reading Program 2011: Amazing Tales at Your Library. Start flocking to the library for the greatest summer ever with a herd of guest performers, variety shows, music, stories, magic, kickboxing, crafts, films and games. Here s the summer schedule, so scurry to the library and start signing up, beginning Monday, June 20 and have a rollicking good summer. SUMMER READING PROGRAM SCHEDULE 2011: Amazing Tales at Your Library June 20 - June 25 June 20 (Mon.) SIGN UP ALL DAY Be one of the first to get a reading record and brochure and start reading. Check out the great prizes. All Branches June 20 (Mon.) Begin guessing, How Many Rubber Ducks in the Jar? Each branch will have a jar displayed for five weeks, and on Friday, July 22, we will announce the winners of the jars at each branch.
