ENTRY FORM TARANAKI SECONDARY SCHOOLS SPORTS ASSOCIATION TSSSA SKIING & SNOW BOARDING 2018 DATE : TBC first available date in Term 2 & Term 3 (snow / weather dependent) VENUE: Manganui Ski Field Mount Taranaki TIMES: o o o TIC to register with TSSSA before 10am Managers Meeting 10.15am Racing Begin 10.30am DESCRIPTION: This is a competitive skiing & snowboarding event for experienced and competent participants. CATEGORIES: Junior Girls / Junior Boys / Senior Girls / Senior Boys COMPETITION INFORMATION No limit on number of competitor entries per school Best four results for each school will be used to determine top scoring school 1 st place = 25 points 2 nd place = 24 points and so on. The top 4 results from each school across both ski & snowboard are added and the school with the most points is the winning school. All racers must be under 19 on January 1 st 2018 Rank racers on entry form (1, 2, 3..) Two time runs per competitor. All 1 s go first, then all 2 s etc No re-runs unless directed by Finish Marshall Both run times added to determine winners in: - Junior Girls - Junior Boys - Senior Girls - Senior Boys Trophies awarded for Top Scoring Secondary School; Fastest Time - Skier (male & female) and Fastest Time - Snowboarder (male & female)
Lift Pass Costs Competitors will be charged at the rate for Junior non Members ($35.00 day pass). Supporters, team managers & parents who wish to use the lift will also be charged a discounted adult day pass rate of $35.00. Stratford Mountain Club Members who have a season pass are free Payment can be made on the day at the ticket office, by either cash or eftpos. Competition Day Substitutions and late entries will be accepted on the day, however late entries must be brought forward by the Teacher in charge/team manager, not the student. All substitutes/late entries must be approved by School Team Managers Competitors must give name and division (junior boy etc) to start marshall who will radio recording officials. Competition will run on the first suitable day in Term 2 or 3 (snow / weather dependent) Text & email notification will be sent to all nominated teachers in charge / sports coordinators as soon as the decision is made School Coordinators will be responsible for notifying Competitors Please check the Manganui Ski Area Stratford Mountain Club Facebook page for updates. This is the easiest way to get up to date information on the event. Any student who attends the TSSSA event with permission from their school will have been deemed as accepting the conditions and risk as identified in the Letter to Parents document. 2
