Hello Fellow Shooters: I would like to take this opportunity to both welcome you and invite you to participate in the 2014 Trap Shooting season. It is always great to see the camaraderie that brings us all together to enjoy this sport that we all care so much about. When many state shoots are declining in attendance, the Maryland State Shoot attendance has managed to stay consistent. Last year we had contestants from 15 additional states and with the addition of 38 camp sites on the home grounds property and air conditioning in the club house, they were all accommodated. The upgrading and improvements of the home grounds facility is ongoing, so please come out and see what is new this year. We have received great support in the reestablishment of the home grounds in Thurmont, the likes of which we could not do without your support. As always, I must again thank everyone that helped with the restoration projects, whether by monetary contributions or physical labor. Remember that we cannot have a successful State Shoot without the support we receive from our local clubs, so try to get out and support the great clubs we have throughout Maryland and help them to survive in these trying times. Once again we were well represented at the Grand American and by Marylanders making the All American Teams. Congratulations to all. I hope you all have a great year and I m looking forward to seeing and talking to you in this 2014 ATA trapshooting season. Sincerely, Dave Feaga MSSA President

Please contact Joanna Hughes to register as soon as possible. Camping fees apply. Contact: Joanna Hughes 2602 Sandy Hook Rd Forest Hill, MD 21050 410-838-9294 ATTENTION ALL SPECIAL CATEGORY SHOOTERS It is very important for you to remember the ATA Rules regarding your responsibility for declaring your special category eligibility. When you are CLASSIFIED - you must tell the Classification Committee member handling your card whether or not you are eligible for any special category, and check your Classification receipt to be certain that it shows your correct eligibility. Remember the ATA rule change regarding special categories. A shooter can declare only one special category - not two (Lady - not Lady/Vet or Junior - not Lady/Junior, etc.). If a special category shooter ties for champion in any event and loses in the shoot off, he or she automatically falls back to the special category trophy. You will NOT be eligible for any special category trophies if your Classification does not include that information. CLOSING TIMES The Closing Times listed are the times the cashier window closes for that Event. If your entry is not paid prior to the closing time, you will not be able to enter that Event.

**RESQUADDING PENALTY** It is the shooter s responsibility to watch the board and be at the starting trap on time. No shooter will be called for his/her squad. Any shooter missing his/her squad or changing squads for any reason other than earned yardage who desires to re-enter, shall pay a $25.00 resquadding penalty. No shooter will be allowed to make up more than 50 targets on the practice trap if he/she has missed his or her squad. If the shooter is unable to join the squad before they have started their 3rd sub event, the shooter must be resquadded and pay the $25.00 penalty. SHOOTERS CAUTION A shooter can make only one entry per event. Once the entry has been made, the cashier will not accept additional option monies from the shooter. POSITIVELY NO CHANGES, WITHDRAWALS, OR REFUNDS will be allowed once the entry has been made. SHOOTERS ARE CAUTIONED TO CHECK THEIR SCORES as soon as they finish shooting and the scores have been posted.
