CINCINNATI PAGE 5 Member and Student Happenings... Noreen and Colleen Rhode have four students dancing in the Moscow Ballet s performance of The Nutcracker in Cleveland. Thoughts and prayers for Amy Reik and her family for the loss of her father and grandmother this past Spring. We are truly sorry for your loss. Our sympathy, also, to Madonna Rothwell and her family for the loss of her mother-in-law, Nancy. Ohio Dance Masters, Dance Masters of America and the city of Zanesville, Ohio lost an icon this past Summer. Marjorie Sellers left us on July 24 in her sleep at 1:54 am. She began dancing at the age of 7, and danced (at the age of 95) in her annual show this past June! Our deepest sympathy to Butch Theisen and all of those who loved Marjorie. She will truly be missed by all of us at ODM. Alicia Sparks, new ODM member has a website that you might like to check out. It is for make-up and dance. Go to asparks.org. Joy Sinnott, DMA Member of Chapter #13 passed away the end of August, 2012. Joy taught at the DMA Teacher s Training School, and was the chair of Tap Education.

Junior Miss Dance of Ohio, Alicia Slouffman, student of Dawn Slemons finished as 2nd Runner Up for the national competition, and Chase Bowden, student of Amy Reik was every bit a gentleman as he gave up his national title of Junior Mr. Dance of America, 2012. Teen Miss Dance of Ohio, Jordan Betscher, student of Dawn Slemons won the Jazz award and became the national 1st Runner Up for Teen Miss Dance of America, 2013. Jamie Harvener, an open contestant and student of Diana Evans Pulliam also represented Ohio proudly. Haley Fish, Miss Dance of America 2012 and student of Diana Evans Pulliam, relinquished her title with all the grace and poise of the royalty she represented.
