Rather, registration is for the entire 40 week period, from August through early-june. You are automatically enrolled in your class for the entire 40 week period unless you withdraw. TO WITHDRAW FROM CLASSES, stop by the front desk and fill out a withdrawal form. Remember, we require a TWO WEEK notice. Studio calendars may be found: (1) On our website. (2) In this packet. October 5 4. November 2 5. November 30 6. January 11 7. February 8 8. March 8 9. April 5 10. May 3 FEES $10.00 Late Payment Fee $25.00 NSF FEE for checks returned from the bank. If you withdraw after the first class, we will refund all your tuition. After the first class, we issue refunds, provided that you have given us a withdrawal form and two weeks notice. No refunds for missed classes. Tuition will continue to be charged to your account until two weeks after a withdrawal form is received. Exception: Medical conditions that are validated by a physician s statement. A credit will be issued with the prorated amount based upon the date we receive the written statement (retroactive requests cannot be granted, as it eliminates our opportunity to fill the vacated class spot).
IN THE CLASSROOM AT THE STUDIO Bulletin boards throughout the studio. Signs on the front door. Handouts distributed during classes. Front Desk Hours: Mon., Tues., Wed. 10 to 8 Thurs., Fri. 12 to 8 Saturday 9 to 1 Closed Sunday Dress code will be enforced for safety reasons. For most classes, hair must be pulled away from face in a ponytail or bun (preferred). Parents are not permitted in the classroom unless parent-assisted. No child may enter a studio unless supervised by a teacher. No gum is allowed in the classroom. No student may enter class if more than 10 minutes late. Dance Etc. reserves the right to dismiss/expel any student for disciplinary reasons. Every Sunday, join us for Community Bulletin Board, where you can post information about your business, anything to sell, or any event you would like to announce. IN THE HALLWAYS Children must be supervised while at the studio at all times. Do not let your child run down the hallways. Consider not bringing siblings who are not enrolled in classes. We don t have a lot of room in the hallways. If you bring a toy or a game to keep your child occupied while waiting, we would appreciate activities that use minimal space. Please share viewing windows with other parents. We have more windows than most studios have, but they still can be crowded. Do not allow your child under the age of 10 to enter the boutique unless you are with him/her. Please no tapping on the glass or disrupting the class for any reason. Our goal is to improve safety, cleanliness and courtesy to others. Thank you for your understanding!
At Dance Etc., we don t have recitals. We have Spring Showcases! Our goal is to provide fun, entertaining and well-organized shows that everyone will love! Each show is very short (approximately 75 minutes). And, every seat in the theatre is an excellent one! There are 6 different shows: From the Page to the Stage! This Year s Theme! June 2, 3, 4 2017 Friday night 7:45 pm (for competition teams only) Saturday night 7:00 pm Four shows on Sunday (12:00, 2:15, 4:30 and 6:45 pm) Costumes ordered on time are $65.00, plus $10.00 showcase participation fee and a $10.00 administrative fee. If you order on or before our Early Bird deadline (Nov exact dates to follow), you can take advantage of a $10.00 discount. Costumes ordered after the deadline will incur a late fee. Any students providing their own costumes will still be charged the $20.00 participation & administration fees. Tickets to the Showcases are extra ($9-$10 each). Most classes will participate in the Spring Showcases. There are a few dance classes that will not. Check with the front desk to make sure your class is participating. While we would like everyone to participate, the event is optional. Please let your teacher know if you will NOT be participating in the Spring Showcases. Tumbling students can still participate in our spring showcases. Extra rehearsals will be held and a costume provided for one low fee. Find out more about this as the year progresses. If you need to miss a class, you may make it in another class! Make-ups must be scheduled in advance by stopping by the front desk or calling us at 513-576-1400. On the day of the make-up class, stop by the front desk to pick up your make-up pass. Present this pass to the instructor. Make-ups expire at the end of the session. Limit: 4 make-ups per year/student If your class falls on one of the following holidays, you are entitled to a free make-up class that you may schedule at your convenience: Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 5) Thanksgiving Day, Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving (November 24, 25, 26) Memorial Day (Monday, May 29) You are not charged for any other holidays. We WILL NOT have classes on Oct. 31 (Halloween) this year. In case of inclement weather, please call the studio at (513) 576-1400 about a halfhour before your scheduled class; or check the website (www.dance-etc.com). The decision to close is usually based on local conditions and whether our staff is able to make it to the gym. Please note that we may be open even if area schools are closed. If classes are canceled, you may schedule a make-up class on your own at your convenience. There are no refunds for snow days. ABOUT OUR STAFF FUN FACTS ABOUT DANCE ETC. Anne Kramer Artistic Director akramer@dance-etc.com I have been dancing all my life, and teaching since the age of 17. Owning a dance studio was my childhood dream. I am very blessed to have received choreography and teacher awards over the years, including Teacher of the Year from Kids Artistic Revue, 2007, 2011 and 2013. I am also happy to have been featured in Dance Teacher magazine many times. I am also a guest teacher at SCPA (School of Creative & Performing Arts) here in Cincinnati, and have taken up sewing and costume design. Established in 1996, this is our 21st year in business! Our motto is The Fun Place to Learn! We re the only tumbling facility in the Cincinnati area with no raised surfaces our suspended floor, trampoline and in-ground pit are level, for safety!
