1. TYPE OF COMPETITION ZAGREB CHILDREN FIS REGULATIONS ZAGREB CHILDREN FIS is the international children s competition registered in the FIS calendar. 2. CATEGORIES U 14 born 2000 and 2001 U 16 born 1998 and 1999 3. DISCIPLINES Slalom: U 14 Vertical Drop 100-160 m, 32% - 38% of the vertical drop +/- 3 direction changes U 16 Vertical Drop 100-160 m, 32% - 38% of the vertical drop +/- 3 direction changes Giant slalom: U 14 Vertical Drop 200-350 m, 13% - 18% of the vertical drop U 16 Vertical Drop 200-350 m, 13% - 18% of the vertical drop 2 runs 4. THE RIGHT OF PARTICIPATION AND QUOTA REGULATIONS All the FIS country member have the right to take part in the competition. The quota per nation is max. 4 U14 and 6 U16 resulting in the total number of max. 10 competing athletes per nation. No more than 4 athletes of the same gender may be registered within each category. The organising nation is entitled to a double quota that is maximum 20 competing athletes. In case of events with multiple races the quota is for the event and not for the race (Precisions 2013/608.5.1). All competitors must be registered with the National Ski Associations, have insurance coverage and a signed permission from their parents. The FIS Technical Delegate will inspect all the required documents.
5. COMPETITION PROCEDURE The competition is aimed at individual and team placement. In team placement the sums of all the points are calculated according to the procedures of the old principle for the World Cup. PRIZES ZAGREB CHILDREN FIS TROPHY: awarded to the best Team Gold medal: Silver medal: Bronze medal: first place in each discipline and category second place in each discipline and category third place in each discipline and category 7. ALLOTMENT INTO GROUPS AND START ORDER In each group each participating nation is allotted one starting place max. If more than 15 nations have registered, the following principles apply: Group 1: The first group will contain one athlete from each nation registered. Each nation is allotted only one start place. Group 2-3 - 4: Same as group 1. Last group: The last group consists of the athletes from the organising nation, with its double quota. If the total number of competing athletes is thereby exceeds, a separate last group will be formed, using the same procedure as in Group 1. The team leaders are responsible for the identification of participants in each group. Each group is drawn separately. Start order 2 nd runs The best 30 of the 1 st run start in the reversed order. 8. COMPETITION The competition follows the international ski competition rules, with a FIS Technical Delegate present during the Event. The competitors compete at their own risk and/or at the risk of those who send them. The Organisers decline any responsibility in case of injury to the participants or a third party.
9. EXPENSES This year the Organising Committee covers the lodging and accommodation for 6 athletes and accompanying persons from Monday 17 th February (dinner) to Wednesday 19 th February (breakfast) 2014. All persons involved in the event will have free ski-lift passes. The number of accompanying persons, whose expenses will be covered by the Organiser, is limited in respect to the number of competitors: 10.
