GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN CRICKET 1. One college can send only one entry/team. 2. Maximum 15 players to be included in a team which can comprise maximum four staff members (teaching, non teaching staff members of the college only). 3. Team must have at least one staff member from college to accompany students. 4. Last date for registration is 31 st January 2016. 5. Registration fee is Rs. 3000/- per team. 6. DD should be made in favour of Charotar University of Science and Technology, Payable at Anand. 7. Only 16 teams will be selected on first come first basis. 8. Registration fee includes play, breakfast and lunch. 9. Transportation (to and fro to hostel), accommodation and dinner (for winning teams only) will be provided. 10. Transportation, accommodation and dinner for losing teams will not be provided. 11. The team must bring a Letter of Authorization signed by the competent authority of the institute/ college. 12. At the time of reporting, every team member must produce: Copy of registration form Original ID card of all team members Copy of authorization letter with seal and sign of competent authority 13. All teams are requested to co-operate with the organizers and volunteers. 14. Each team should maintain strict discipline and silence during their accommodation. 15. Any breakage in the accommodation premises will be charged doubled. GAME SPECIFIC RULES FOR PARTICIPATION IN CRICKET 1. Matches will be played on Tennis cricket ball. 2. Matches will be played on knock out basis. 3. The league and quarter matches will be of 12 overs, semi finals of 14 overs and final of 16 overs. 4. All players of a team must wear a uniform sports dressing. (T-shirt, Track Pant, sport shoes etc). Shorts are not allowed. 5. One bowler can bowl max. 3 overs in league, quater and semi finals and 4 overs in final match. 6. Every team members will be awarded with certificate of participation. 7. Winners and runners up will be awarded with trophies and certificates. 8. There will be man of the match in every match, player of the tournament, bowler of the tournament and batsman of the tournament. 9. The decision of the umpires and officials will be final. 10. The team doing arguments against decision made will be disqualified on the spot. 11. Each team should maintain strict discipline on the play ground. 12. Every team has to report 30 minutes before the scheduled match. 13. All team have to carry bats and personal sports gears on their own. 14. All teams are requested to co-operate with the organizers and volunteers. (T-shirt, Track Pant, sport shoes etc). Shorts are not permitted. 4. League match would be of three games of 10 points, semi finals and final matches will be of three games of 15 points each. 5. The shuttle is allowed to touch the net, but the racquets are not (during rally only). 6. The shuttle landing on the line is considered in. 7. All other rules will be followed. 8. Every player will be awarded with certificate of participation. 9. Winners and runners up will be awarded with trophies and certificates. 10. The decision of the referees and officials will be final. 11. No arguments against decision will be considered. 12. Each player should maintain strict discipline on the play ground. 13. Every player has to report 30 minutes before the scheduled match. 14. All players have to carry racquets and other gears on their own. 15.
