What is Needed n 2011 Team Registration form n Player Declaration or Official Team Roster Must be completely filled out with a minimum of 12 players. Incomplete rosters will not be accepted. Official Team Rosters are not necessary at the time of registration. They must, however, be turned in prior to the start of your first game. n League Fees: Registrations will not be accepted without payment. League Fees n $795 for a 12 game season plus playoffs for qualifying teams. n $13 for each Non-Concord Resident (Max charge = $117 per team) n $25 Late Fee for registrations not received by February 25, 2011. Payment Options n Full Payment Enclose credit card information, check or money order with your Team Registration Checks are to be made payable to the City of Concord n 50% Payment Plan Accepted only with Visa/Mastercard/American Express Authorization on file for remaining balance. Balance due will be automatically charged at 8:00 a.m. on March 11, 2011. n A $25 late payment fee will be charged on all invalid or declined credit card payments.
Important Information for all managers 2011 CONCORD ADULT SOFTBALL RULES: A complete set of rules may be found on our website: RANDOM ROSTER CHECKS: Roster checks will be conducted throughout the entire season and during playoffs. Please make sure all your players have their ID on them at all games. Please refer to the City of Concord s Rules and Regulations, Section VIII. Field Rules, Rule Z for details. Player s must have current, updated ID s that match their address on your team roster. SCHEDULES: We will notify you via email when schedules are posted on our website. If you do not have access to the internet, you may contact our office, (925) 671-3423, and arrange for a set of schedules to be picked up. We expect them to be ready the week of March 21, 2011. RAIN HOTLINE: Once the season begins, remember to have your team check the rain hotline, (925) 671-3479, in case of inclement weather. It is updated only if conditions change. Make-up Games/Rain-outs All teams must be prepared to play make-up games any day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays. Make-up games not completed prior to the end of the season will be scheduled for Saturday, July 16 or Sunday, July 17. Playoffs Begin Saturday, July 23 Teams will play on nights other than their regular night of play during playoffs.
Team/Player Classifications (This is an abbreviated version of the rule. Refer to the 2011 Adult Softball Rules and Regulations for more detail) 1. Men s / Women s Teams a. B - League Teams 1) Teams are limited to a maximum of two (2) players, league and tournament combined, playing down. These limits are based on the player s highest level played between January 1, 2010 and the present time, including the current season. b. C - League Teams 1) Teams are limited to a maximum of three (3) players, league and tournament combined, playing down. These limits are based on the player s highest level played between January 1, 2010 and the present time, including the current season. 2) May not have any A League players or A or B tournament players c. D - League Teams 1) Teams are limited to a maximum of four (4) players, league and tournament combined, playing down. These limits are based on the player s highest level played between January 1, 2010 and the present time, including the current season. 2) May not have any A or B League players or A, B, or C tournament players d. E - League Teams 1) Teams are limited to a maximum of four (4) players, league and tournament combined, playing down. These limits are based on the player s highest level played between January 1, 2010 and the present time, including the current season. 2) May not have any A, B, or C League Players, Tournament Players or Upper Mixed Players 2. Mixed Teams a. Upper League Teams 1) No limits apply b. Lower League Teams 1) Teams are limited to a maximum of three (3) male players and three (3) female players, league and tournament combined, playing down. These limits are based on the player s highest level played between January 1, 2010 and the present time, including the current season. 2) May not have any male A or B League Players or any A, B, C or D Tournament Players 3) May not have any female A League Players or any A, B or C Tournament Players c. Recreational League Teams 1) Teams are limited to a maximum of two (2) male players and three (3) female players playing down. These limits are based on the player s highest level played between January 1, 2010 and the present time, including the current season. 2) May not have any male or female Tournament Players or Upper Mixed Players 3) May not have any A, B, or C League Players 3. Players added to a higher classified team during the season immediately become classified at that higher level. It is the manager s responsibility to be aware of and restrict his/her players participation on other teams if it affects the classification limits for his/her team. Limits apply throughout the entire year. 4. Teams exceeding these limits will be required to immediately drop players to meet these criteria. Teams failing to meet these criteria will be ineligible for playoffs and may be restricted from playing the remainder of the season, without any reimbursement of fees. 5. Players who do not correctly disclose their highest playing level(s) will be subject to suspension and may be automatically dropped from the roster and no longer eligible to play for that team. 6. In cases where a specific level is unavailable, the League Director reserves the right to place teams or players at the most appropriate level. League Director reserves the right to change the classification of a team or player when performance or roster changes deem it appropriate.

Release and Waiver: I wish to participate in the City of Concord s Adult Softball Program (hereinafter Softball Program ). I am informed and understand that the game of adult softball poses unavoidable risks of physical harm to me, including but not limited being struck by a softball bat or a pitched/hit softball, and or injured while running, fielding, and/or engaging in the many other vigorous bodily movements and physical demands that adult softball entails. I am aware that the forgoing risks (as well as other risks attendant to adult softball) pose the threat of property damage, serious personal injury, and even death. By participating, in the Softball Program, I certify my acknowledgment, recognition and voluntary assumption of these risks. In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Softball Program, I release, waive, and discharge the City of Concord, its elected and appointed officials, agents, representatives, volunteers and employees (collectively, City ) from any and all liability for property damage, personal injury, or death suffered by me that arises out of or is in any way related to my participation in the Softball Program. This release applies even in the event that such property damage, personal injury or death arises out of active negligence on the City s part, but does not apply to sole negligence or intentional/reckless misconduct by the City. Hold Harmless: I will indemnify and hold the City harmless from and against any and all claims, lawsuits, or demands for monetary reimbursement of any nature arising from my participation in the Softball Program. I will pay all costs incident to any such claim, lawsuit or demand, including, without limitation, attorney s fees and costs and indemnification of any judgment, settlement or award. I expressly agree that the foregoing release, waiver, and hold harmless agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the State of California and that if any portion is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance of the agreement will continue in full legal force and effect. Use of participant photographs: In addition to the forgoing, I give consent to Concord Community & Recreation Services or any other media agency to photograph me (or the minor on whose behalf I am signing this waiver), and to use such photographs in brochures, newspapers or other forms of media describing City of Concord activities. I have read and voluntarily sign the release, waiver and hold harmless agreement, and further agree that no oral representatives, statements, or inducements apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made.
