The new school year brings a new opportunity for every child to fall in love with learning. Encourage students to set academic goals and to work toward reaching them. Stress the importance of getting a good night s rest, eating a balanced diet, and getting some exercise time in every day. This week marks the third week of the first six weeks, so students have received their first progress report by now. Actually, there are only five weeks in this grading period, so there are only two weeks remaining in the first six weeks. Keep up the good work! They will open with nearby rival Fairfield at home. Our Volleyball Team is on the verge of double digit wins for the first time in many years. One more week until we open district play vs. Mexia! Cross Country competed well at SFA last weekend and will travel to Sam Houston this weekend to compete in another high quality meet as they continue their season. There are lots of exciting things going on in Palestine Athletics. I hope you will join us on game nights to support our teams! Coach Robby Clark
