All players must wear hockey skates and hockey helmets (17 and under, full face cage or full face visor as well). Additional protective equipment is optional but highly recommended. No goalie equipment or goal sticks permitted. All teams must have home (white) and away (dark) uniforms. Games consist of two 15-minute halves. An off-ice volunteer will monitor each game. Games start and end at the sound of the siren/horn. Any teams late for games will be penalized 1 goal for each minute late. After 5 minutes the late team will forfeit the game with a 10-0 score awarded to the opponent. There will be no rescheduled games a forfeit is a forfeit. Teams are limited to 8 players with a maximum of 4 players on the ice at one time. All games are running-time and substitutions may be made on the fly. 2 P a g e

There is no stoppage of play after a goal is scored or a penalty is awarded. If the puck goes out at the end, possession automatically goes to the defending team. Home team gets to pick side to start the game. Teams will switch ends at the half. Contacting the puck with a stick above the knee will result in a loss of possession. Raising the puck higher than the knee (shot, pass or otherwise) will result in a loss of possession at the place of the shot or pass. If a puck goes out of bounds on the side of the ice surface, the last team to touch it loses possession. Restart will take place nearest the location where the puck left the playing surface. During restart, the defender must give his opponent 2-stick lengths of space. There are no off-sides or icing calls. ALL penalties result in a change of possession. Penalties are tracked by the Volunteer. At the end of regulation time, a penalty shot will be awarded for every minor penalty that has not been cancelled out by a penalty committed (i.e. differential in penalties committed vs. penalties sustained). Penalty shots are taken from the centre line (as determined by the volunteer) no goaltending/defending allowed. All players on the team shooting must shoot once before a repeat shooter is allowed. Major penalties will result in an immediate goal awarded to the opposing team and could result in a player ejection. A player that is ejected will have his/her case reviewed by the Head Volunteer and/or the organizing committee to determine if they may be allowed to return for the rest of the tournament. Teams must give their opponents ½ ice after a goal is scored or an infraction takes place. After each goal/infraction give opposing team ½ ice until puck OR player crosses half. Excessive delay in crossing half could result in a delay of game infraction (as per the judgement of the Volunteer). There are no overtime periods in round robin play. During playoff games, teams will play a 3 minute overtime. The team that scores the most will be declared the winner. If the score remains tied at the end of 3 minute overtime, play will continue unabated and the first team to score wins. The team cannot replace an ejected and/or injured player with an alternate player. ALL teams must present a roster with appropriate identification for each player at registration. There are four divisions (youth: pee wee and bantam players, open: 15 and older, old-timer: 30 and older and female). All divisions make playoffs. It is the responsibility of each Team Leader to ensure his/her team is aware of the Rules and Regulations. Team Leaders are required to attend a meeting Thursday January 18 5:00 PM at the Civic Centre. Tournament rules and intent will be reviewed. Completed participant waiver forms (for all players on your team) and team lists (rosters) will be collected at this meeting. 3 P a g e

Ranking for playoffs are based on the following: 1. Most points: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss. If a tie between teams exists go to step 2 for teams tied. 2. Winner of head to head. If tie between teams still exists go to step 3 for teams tied. 3. Wins. If tie between teams still exists go to step 4 for teams tied. 4. Goals For - Goals Against. Highest positive value wins. If tie between teams still exists go to step 5 for teams tied. 5. Tied teams draw playing cards. Highest card wins tie breaker (ace is consider highest card). Player Eligibility ALL players must meet the minimum age requirement for their division as of the FIRST day of tournament play (January 20, 2018) no exceptions. ALL players must present appropriate photo ID for age verification at least 30 minutes prior to your first game at the site of your first game to the volunteer for your game. Team Leaders will present individual player signed waiver and team lists (roster) forms at the Team Leaders meeting on January 18, 2015 5:00 PM at the Corner Brook Civic Centre. Players will not be allowed to step on the ice without these above mentioned items handed in as indicated above. If caught on the ice without the above signed forms handed in your team risks a major penalty or ejection from the tournament. Any underage player will be ejected from the tournament and the team will not be able to replace the player. More than one underage player will result in the team s ejection from the tournament. Players can only play on one team. No substitutions throughout the tourney are allowed. The 8 players that are on your roster as presented at the Team Leaders Meeting on Thursday January 18, 2018 at 5:00 PM must be the same players that play on your team throughout the tournament. ALL players must be recreational athletes. This means that no active professional, semiprofessional, junior or university/college players are eligible. No more than 2 AA, AAA or greater players per Youth Division team. Scorecards Captain of each team will review and SIGN the scorecards at the end of each game. In doing so he/she has accepted the game score and as a result that game is FINAL. If a discrepancy with the score is found, both captains are to discuss it with the Volunteer and if need be you can ask to speak with the Head Volunteer Official. 4 P a g e
