SOCIETIES 2018 Macclesfield Golf Club welcomes societies of 12 players or more. This document aims to give you all you need to know to get started. TERMS & CONDITIONS Cancellation The Club reserves the right to amend or cancel any reservation. If inclement weather prevents the playing of golf, the Club will refund deposits made but will have no further liability to the Client. Should the Client cancel they may re- book within the next calendar year and the deposit paid will be transferred. Should the booking be cancelled twice or if there is no re- booking then the deposit will usually be forfeited. Damage to Club Property By accepting these terms and conditions, the Client assumes responsibility for any damage to Club property caused by any member of the society. Tee Off Times It is the Client s responsibility to ensure that the society is ready to start play at their allocated tee times. Failure to do so may result in the society being reallocated to the next available tee times. Mobile Phones Mobile phones should not be used while on the course, except in the case of emergencies. While in the clubhouse lounges and dining rooms mobile phones must be kept on silent and any calls should be made or taken elsewhere. Dress Code While on the course acceptable golfing attire must be worn, defined as: tailored trousers or shorts, shirts with a collar or a turtle neck and bespoke golf shoes, no blue denim is allowed. Short socks worn above or below the ankle are acceptable and should be predominantly white. Headgear should be worn correctly. While in the Clubhouse smart tailored denim and trainers may be worn, however denim work wear, or ripped denim is not acceptable. Hats should not be worn. With the exception of soft spiked shoes and waterproof clothing, golfers should not change clothing in the car park.
