This event is an opportunity for the Dayton region to come together and celebrate the cultural diversity of our community. Ages 6 7 (6 8 players per team) 2. Ages 8 9 (10 12 players per team) 3. Ages 10 11 (10 12 players per team) 4. Ages 12 13 (15 18 players per team) 5. Ages 14 18 (15 18 players per team) There will be 8 adult teams in each age bracket. 1. Ages 19 30 (no more than 18 players per team) 2. Ages 31 and over (no more than 18 players per team) *Brackets are subject to change based upon registrations received High school soccer athletes may be in violation of OHSAA regulations by playing in the Dayton World Soccer Games. Please check with the OHSAA, your coach and/or athletics director before playing in this tournament. Each team must represent one country and have at least one member on the team who is from that country. Countries will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Duplicate countries will be put onto a waiting list and informed of whether or not they are accepted no later than September 10, 2016. Fact Sheet (Continued) UNIFORMS: CONCESSIONS: PARKING: Teams will supply their own uniforms. Teams must wear matching uniforms, but should be creative in representing their country. Each uniform must have a number specific to the player in bold font with a line width of no less than one (1) inch. Each player must also have soccer cleats, shin guards, and soccer socks. Uniforms cannot interfere with the game, pose a distraction to another team, or present a danger. Concessions will be available at the tournament site. Alcohol must be purchased on site and can only be consumed in designated areas. TEAM CHECK-IN PARADE OF NATIONS TOURNAMENT KICK OFF Saturday, September 17, 6:30 am 8:30 am All teams must check in between 6:30 am and 8:30 am at the registration table. Saturday, September 17, 8:30 am Teams will line up from 8:30 am 8:50 am. The Parade will be from 8:50 am 9:15 am, and will include all teams representing their countries, marching under the country's flag. Saturday, September 17, 9:30 am At 9:30 am all first round teams must report to their field for their match. A listing of the order of each game will be provided in your check-in packet. Page 3
Coaches Concussion Information In order to protect young athletes, the State of Ohio has passed a concussion law, commonly called the "Return to Play" law. Therefore, all Ohio Tournaments are responsible to monitor and track compliance with the concussion training requirements of the Return to Play law. It is required that each coach receive approved concussion training prior to the Dayton World Soccer Games. Below you will find two links for the Free Concussion Training. Once the training has been completed, a certificate can be printed. Please submit the certificate with your Pre-Tournament Registration Packet and other required forms.
