COURSE DESCRIPTION 25K Course is as difficult and as much fun as we could make it. If you survive cardiac hill at 2K, and 68 steps to ruin, and the roots of all evil, then the rest is an easy rolling romp towards the finish line. 50K Ultra Course is two loops of the 25K combining Mono Cliffs Park with the trails in the Dufferin Forest. Plenty of single and double track trails with scenic views and challenging climbs. As with all trail races, these distances are approximate. Bear in mind that GPS distance may vary from racer to racer. We have planned to the best of our ability to give you a course that you will never forget! RACE LOCATION Mono Cliffs Provincial Park is located on 3rd Line in Orangeville. Approximately 15 minutes north of downtown Orangeville. Rather than use a physical address in your GPS, type: Mono Cliffs Provincial Park and follow the Race road signs as you approach the park. PARKING Parking is limited at the site. If you are lucky enough to park in the lot, please display the card given to you by the parking marshals as your parking fee is included in your race fee; if you don't display the card, you run the risk of getting a ticket. Once the lot is full our volunteer marshals will direct you to park on the WEST side of 3rd line. Please DO NOT block our neighbours driveways. VOLUNTEERS we have a separate lot/shuttle service for you information will be provided in your confirmation email. 2
AID STATION LOCATIONS & CUT-OFF POLICY For the safety of all racers, volunteers and officials, any runner who is not on pace to complete their distance by the designated cutoff time may be pulled at any time by the Race Director. If a runner fails to depart the aid stations by the designated cut-off time (see below) they will be pulled from the race. Race staff reserve the right to pull ANY runner from the race at ANY time and at ANY point on the course. This is a trail race, all distances are approximate! The timing chip is located on the back of your bib and should not be folded. To ensure that all racers complete the proper course, a volunteer will be marking race bib numbers at certain aid station locations (see chart above). 6
If you are unable to finish the course, please advise race staff at the closest aid station. Staff will notify the Race Director and arrange for transportation back to the Start/Finish if necessary. If you see a potentially injured runner on course, please get their bib number and report details to the closest aid station. CREW/PACERS/BAG CHECK No pacing allowed for any distance. Crewing is not necessary for this event as aid stations will be stocked with plenty of water and Skratch Eelectrolytes. Snacks such as Fruit 2 bars, pretzels, PB&J sandwiches, etc. will be available at a number of aid stations; refer to the maps and charts provided in this guide. Aid stations are between 1.5K and 4.5K apart. Your bib colour corresponds to the flag/sign colour that you will be following. PINK = 50K ORANGE = 25K BLUE = 12K While it s always a great idea to keep your eyes on the trail, you will also need to watch for your designated flag/sign colour to stay on course. There are other trail markings such as white/blue tree blazes, as this course uses quite a bit of Bruce Trail, so please ensure you are watching out for the designated race markings. 7
