ITINERARY 5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS RIDE SUMMARY Featured Ride: Klonzo Trails with optional bike path to Moab (weather dependent) Approximately 7-22 miles Welcome to Moab singletrack! The Klonzo Trails are the perfect place to get your bearings set for Moab and a great week of riding ahead. This new network of purpose built trails serves as a great introduction to the desert terrain and will allow you to get a better feel for the skills you want to address this week. Opt for a pedal on the butter smooth bike path back to town for some extra miles. Featured Ride: Rides from Town Amasa Back, Pothole Arch, and Captain Ahab (advanced technical ride) or Hurrah Pass Road out-and-back (beginner/intermediate self supported) Approximately 10-30 miles This morning you ll break into groups based on the skills you wish to improve and the experience you have on the mountain bike. We ll cover plenty of topics for you to put to good use this afternoon when you check out Amasa Back and the Pothole Arch Trail for some classic ledgy jeep road climbing ending with a great view of the Colorado River below. Of course, there is the not to be missed, Captain Ahab Trail; One of Moab s newest purpose built trail for mountain bikes. This trail presents amazing flow on slickrock and challenging technical terrain, ideal for showing off the newly acquired skills or polishing ones you ve already got! You also have the option to pedal the less challenging Hurrah Pass Road with views of the Colorado River, petroglyphs, and scenic canyons. Featured Ride: Magnificent 7 Trail System Gemini Bridges Road, Bull Run, Arth s Corner, Little Canyon, and Great Escape Approximately 14-26 miles Find yourself improving already from 2 days of riding and instruction from the best in the business. Today Flow is the name of the game on this technical singletrack downhill following the first 3 segments of the Magnificent 7 Trail System: Bull Run, Arth s Corner, and the Great Escape. Not sure which line to take? Unsure how to navigate that drop? We ll be sure to cover this on the trail today with plenty of encouragement along the way. You can also opt for the less technical Gemini Bridges Road to further improve your confidence level. Stop for lunch at the namesake parallel bridges that span Bull Canyon. Featured Ride: Lower Porcupine Singletrack (LPS) and Porcupine Rim (subject to snow line) (Intermediate/Advanced technical option) Sand Flats Road with Fins and Things Slickrock Jeep Trail (beginner option) Approximately 17 miles plus 5 miles of road and bike path You came to this camp for a reason, and today is it. In one word: Awesome. This legendary, mostly downhill trail is a favorite of most, of fering jaw-dropping panoramas and challenging technical terrain on rugged jeep road and desert singletrack. Did we mention 4500 feet of descending from high above Castle Valley to the Colorado River? And, if LPS isn t your style, take Sand Flats Road and tackle the moderate 9 miles of Fins and things along the way. Featured Ride: Moab Brand Trails Bar M, Circle O, Rockin A, Bar B Approximately 8-15 miles After a full week of riding the famed trails of Moab, your final morning provides a network of fun loops, with varying levels of difficulty from mellow to expert. Maybe you break into a group to bite off some more skills sessions, or just pedal out some tired legs. You get to choose your own adventure while enjoying stellar views of the snow capped La Sal Mountains as your dramatic backdrop. Rider Level: Rider Type 2-4 Terrain Mountainous Technical Singletrack, Doubletrack, and Slickrock with some areas of exposure. Average Daily Distance 15 miles Morning skills sessions utilizing props and other items are held in flat, open areas such as parks or gravel and dirt lots at the trailhead. Routes are subject to change due to trail safety, weather conditions and daily timing.
