Junior C Remove reference to specific division/league within junior Junior B Remove reference to specific division/league within junior The Calgary Junior Hockey League (Junior B) allows a limited number of overage players pursuant to the Hockey Canada rules and as authorized for Junior hockey in Alberta by Hockey Alberta. * Each team may register a maximum of four (4) overage players who must have been registered with the team in the previous season. 20 Suspensions (a) When a player, team official or spectator has received a penalty or ejection that carries an automatic suspension (as described in the Minimum Suspension Guidelines) the Head Coach or his designate is responsible for informing the League Chair/Coordinator of the infraction and to automatically abide by the Minimum Suspension Guidelines. In the event of a suspended player playing in, or a suspended team officially participating in a game, the game will may be forfeited and the Head Coach will may be suspended pending a hearing by Hockey Calgary. Timbits (Initiation) games will be officiated in accordance with the Timbits Operations Manual. To reflect current practice. 17 Schedule Changes Requests for a schedule window must be received by Hockey Calgary prior to the deadlines posted on the Schedule Window form on www.hockeycalgary.com. Maximum ten seven day window allowed. A maximum of one Schedule Window request per team allowed for each of the Seeding Round (October through December) and the Regular Season (January and February). No Schedule Windows will be allowed during Minor Hockey Week or the Playoffs. Change the length of a schedule window to a more reasonable length.

18 Team Management (e) The Head Coach will be responsible to ensure there is at least one and preferably two responsible adults in the team dressing room before and after each ice time. They will endeavor to prevent disorderly conduct, bullying and vandalism in any form. These adults may be any team official or adult selected by the Head Coach or team manager. Failure to comply with this supervision may result in the suspension of the head coach for a period of at least one game. Any adult found complicit with any undesirable activity will be suspended for a period of at least one year. This applies within all four streams of Hockey Calgary sanctioned hockey with the exception of Junior 'B' and Junior 'C'. Redundant - this is already addressed in Regulation 28 applicable to all streams. 21 House Leagues House Leagues may be offered by member organizations in conjunction with Hockey Calgary. 21 End of Game Responsibilities/Official Game Report The winning team (home team in the event of a tie) will be responsible for informing the League Chair/Coordinator the score of the game and any incidents written on the official game report by the referee. The coach or manager must inform the League Chair/Coordinator either in person or via a telephone call within 24 hours after the game is All information on the official game report must be entered into the digital game sheet on the Hockey Calgary website within 24 hours after the game is Failure to inform the League Chair/Coordinator following the game or entering of the digital game sheet on time may result in the coach being suspended or the loss of points from the game. 25 Playoffs-Overtime (a) To commence overtime, each team will place five four players (for example, in the first overtime each team is permitted 5 4 players - this may be 5 4 skaters and no goaltender or 4 3 skaters and a goaltender. The goaltender may be replaced by a skater at any time.) The teams will not change ends for the overtime period, and the time clock will be set for two five minutes. All overtime periods will be stop time. Teams may change on the fly at any time. At the end of each two minute increment, the horn will sound and both teams will remove one player from the ice. This process will continue until each team is reduced to three players on the ice (including the goaltender). Once each team has been reduced to three players (including the goaltender), the clock will be set for a six minute period and play will continue. If the overtime period has expired and the game remains tied, a shootout will be played to determine the winner. (c) If the six-minute period has expired and the game remains tied, a further ten minute period will be played (with three players, including the goaltender).

(d)(c) (e) If a game is still tied at the end of the maximum permit time (regulation time plus any extra time allowed by the arena staff) a subsequent "overtime only" game" will be scheduled by Hockey Calgary. In the "overtime game" the teams will begin the overtime format from the beginning (a two five minute period playing 5 4 players on 5 4 (including the goaltender) as described above) until a goal is scored followed by a shoot-out as required. The Executive Director may revise this format prior to the "overtime game" being scheduled. The face off will occur at center ice at the beginning of each overtime period. REGULATIONS GOVERNING FEMALE HOCKEY REGULATIONS GOVERNING ELITE HOCKEY 7 The Calgary Junior Hockey League (C.J.H.L.) (a) The Calgary Junior Hockey League is under the direction of Hockey Calgary and Elite Council. In the C.J.H.L., providing the player is 18 years of age and either employed in the City of Calgary or attending an educational institute, his/her residence need not be in Zone 9. A player who is visiting Calgary on an international/national cultural exchange or attending a post-secondary educational institution will be allowed to register with the appropriate documentation. Residential Qualifications - A Junior aged player is required to play with a team in which such player legally resides. A player from outside Zone 9 who is employed in the city or is attending an educational institute will be allowed to register with the appropriate documentation. A release is required to play in another quadrant. (c) Each team is allowed to register a maximum of three (3) seventeen (17) year old players per team. The player must reside within the boundaries of the quadrant. (d) It is agreed that any seventeen (17) year old goaltenders who are unsuccessful in making a team in their home quadrant are permitted to travel to a different quadrant to play Junior B if the in-coming quadrant is willing to accept them. They then must apply for a release. (e) Affiliations must be declared and filed with the Executive Director or his designate(s) up to and including January 15 of the current hockey season. 24 Playoffs (c) Midget AA 6 teams*all 8 teams qualify * Midget AA playoffs will be "Best of Three" quarter, semi and final series. **Junior B Playoffs will be "Best of Five" quarter, semi and final series. 28 Playoff Overtime Rules REPLACE EXISTING REGULATION WITH: For consistency, playoff format not detailed in regulations for any league

(a) In the Midget AA and Junior B (C.J.H.L.) leagues, games tied at the end of regulation will continue with overtime in accordance with Hockey Canada Playing Rule 10.16. If the game remains tied and cannot be concluded due to unforeseen circumstances, the Elite Council in conjunction with Hockey Calgary will determine a tie breaking format to declare a winner. 16 Suspensions Guidelines (g) REPLACE EXISTING REGULATION WITH: Penalty totals in regulation 19 Penalties will carry suspensions as noted. 19 Penalties (a) Players receiving 3 penalties of any type in any game will be immediately ejected from the game. The game sheet will note the player and this event as a GE (Game Ejection) with the time. Any player who incurs 3 penalties during a game will rceive a game ejection and an additional game suspension. (c) (d) (e) REGULATIONS GOVERNING RECREATIONAL HOCKEY Each subsequent 3 penalty game after the first will result in a two game suspension. Any player receiving 20 penalties within a season (including EMHW and YET) will receive a 3 game suspension. Any player receiving 25 penalties within a season (including EMHW and YET) will be reviewed by the RHC Discipline Committee for possible expulsion from the league. Any player that receives 2 or more suspensions that fall within the Hockey Calgary minimum suspension guidelines will be reviewed by the RHC Discipine Committee for further discipine or expulsion from the league. (f) A 10 minute misconduct in the last 10 minutes of a game will be reviewed by the Division Coordinator and will normally require the player to serve the unexpired portion of the 10 minutes by sitting in the penalty box at the start of the player's next game. The game sheet for the next game that the player attends shall note the completion of the penalty. It is the responsibility of the coach and player to make sure this time is served and Goalies Fair Play Discipline FAIR PLAY CODES A regular rotation for goalies should be strived for throughout the hockey season that will result in an equal number of games played by each team goalie. The rotation is subject to changes in the event of injuries or, sickness or suspension. Coaches found not to be compliant with the fair play policy will receive a warning for the first offence. Coaches found not to be compliant on a second occasion will receive a one game suspension. To move oversight to member organizations and game & conduct.

Coaches found not to be compliant on a third occasion will receive a three game suspension. Coaches found not to be compliant on a fourth occasion do not share the core values of Hockey Calgary and will receive an indefinite suspension from coaching minor hockey in Calgary until a hearing has determined otherwise.
