Why become a member of Chart Hills golf club? Chart Hills is recognised internationally as a course which offers diversity and challenge all laid out in a stunning location within the high Weald of Kent. Sir Nick Faldo (course designer) opened Chart Hills in 1993 and the course has matured into one of the finest in England. There are a range of membership options available at Chart Hills, all of which provide an exclusive list of membership benefits. Handicap management, England Golf and Kent Golf affiliation is included in our membership packages. Members will also have access to the Premier Golf Alliance, offering exclusive discounts at various courses around the world. When you join Chart Hills you will also gain access to our intelligentgolf online management system, making it easier for you to plan and organise your game, view your handicap and the course status. The membership year runs from April 1st March 31st (excluding Flexi-Membership). Juniors (under 18) Junior Membership is available from 150 per year. Each junior receives a complimentary range token per day. Juniors with CONGU handicaps of 14 and lower have unlimited access to the course. Those with a handicap of 15 and higher have some weekend restrictions. Due to the popularity of this subsidised scheme, applicants will be put on a waiting list, therefore please contact the club for full details. JUNIOR ACADEMY PROGRAMME The Chart Hills Golf Club Junior Academy aims to produce consistently high quality young golfers. We are looking to develop players skills, whilst maintaining enjoyment for all abilities. The outstanding facilities at Chart Hills Golf Club lend themselves perfectly to the comprehensive Junior Academy programme. Both individual and group coaching sessions are open to non members. Members are given priority when signing up for the coaching programmes. Following a successful introduction in 2013, the Chart Hills Golf Club Junior Academy will continue to be structured as follows: Mentor Package - 45 Minutes Season Planning Session - 45 Minutes Technical Lesson - 45 Minutes Course Management Lesson - 45 Minutes Strategy Session ACORNS GROUP (Beginner: ages 6-12) The Acorns programme has been specifically designed to teach beginners basic technique and golf etiquette. The group has a maximum of 8 players the minimum age is 6 years old. The Acorns programme has three levels, each lasting for 6 sessions. The programme culminates with a 3 holes competition on the course, where players will be able to put into practice the technique and general golf etiquette they have learned over the coaching programme. From 7.00 per session DEVELOPMENT GROUP (Players with a CONGU/club handicap) The Development Group is a group coaching session designed to develop players with handicaps ranging from 36 to 7. The group will be limited to a maximum of 10 juniors per coaching session. Each session will last for an hour. The sessions are grouped into stages, which consist of 5 coaching sessions and a challenge session. The coaching sessions will cover putting, chipping, pitching, irons and long game. The challenge session will set the player a series of tasks which will be scored out of 5. As the player progresses over the year, the challenge scores should highlight the players strengths, weaknesses and improvement. The overall aim of the development quad will be to progress the players to the elite group, and potentially onto County and National squad selection. From 7.00 per session ELITE GROUP (Handicaps: boys 6 or below, girls 9 or below) The Elite group will be encouraged to utilise the technical knowledge of the game on a more individual basis. Elite group players are encouraged to join the development group for coaching sessions. There will also be Elite Squad group sessions throughout the season, in groups of 3 or 6. There is also a mentor package available that will include season planning, technique improvement, course management and strategy. Please ask the Pro Shop staff for details of the Mentor Package. The mentor package can be tailored to meet individual needs. INDIVIDUAL Junior COACHING Individual coaching is available one-to-one or in pairs. Lessons last for 40 minutes on the range/practice green, or 2 hours for an on course lesson. A prize for first place is awarded for every Stableford, as well as prizes for the top three players in the Junior Order of Merit at the end of the year. There are three major junior competitions held through the year, these count double points for the order of merit.
