OPEN HORSE AND PONY SHOW GENERAL RULES: 1. These are one day shows. Entries are taken day of each show. All divisions will be held rain or shine. 2. Local Veterinarian will be on call. 3. Cost per class is as stated in each division. 4. Each Exhibitor must purchase an exhibitor pass. Exhibitor pass is good for main gate admission throughout the week of the fair and can only be purchased in advance with a bonafied entry at the fair office on or before the entry deadline of July 22, 20, 2017. 2013. 5. Rules specified to each division are printed on the showbill and announcements day of show will take precedence over printed material. 6. All exhibitors are responsible for being familiar with the rules that apply to each class. A.Q.H.A, I.D.P.H.A. or general rules prevail. Judges decision is final. Any questions not answered by these rules shall be decided by the Show Superintendent and or Show Chairman. 7. All premium checks will be mailed within 7 days after the fair since checks are accepted for entry fees. Exhibitors must provide their social security number to collect premiums. 8. Exhibitor will be responsible for all collection charges and $25.00 fee for NSF checks. 9. NO REFUNDS. 10. All equidae must have current Negative Coggins Test. Out of state equidae must also have current health papers. (Illinois Equine Infectious Anemia Control Act, 65/4.1) and meet livestock requirements in the front of this book. ALL OUT OF STATE EQUINE MUST HAVE ENTRY PERMIT FROM STATE OF ILLINOIS (217) 782-4944. 11. Ponies and Miniature Horses will be measured before the start of competition. Copies of Registration Papers must be with Exhibitor showing purebred animals. Miniature Horse classes require copies of Registration Papers when making entries and must be attached to all entries mailed. 12. Exhibitors must be ready one class ahead of the one in which they are to show. Entries to all classes to close when the class before it enters the ring unless otherwise stated in department or showbill. There will be a two minute gate. Exhibitors must notify Show Superintendent or Secretary in writing at least two classes prior to the tack change of class hold. Maximum delay will be three minutes. 13. The Kankakee County Fair or the Show Superintendent reserves the right to combine or cancel any class in which there are 5 or less entries. 14. Complete Western or English attire is required in all events except Costume Classes. Gaming contestants are not required to wear a hat, but no tank tops, tee shirts or baseball caps are allowed. 15. Abuse or undue roughness to animals will not be tolerated. 16. Exhibitors conduct: No profane language allowed in the show area. Any deliberate act of discourtesy or disobedience on the part of any owner, exhibitor, grooms person, rider or driver will disqualify the entry. We reserve the right to remove any owner, exhibitor, grooms person, rider or driver from the show without being held liable for compensation. 17. All horse equine must be kept inside the fairgrounds fence. None will be permitted in the outside parking lot, campground or inside the security fences. Failure to comply with the rules may result in violators being asked to leave with his/her exhibits, forfeiting premiums and possibly being barred from future exhibitions. 18. All animals or articles entered will be at all times subject to the control of the Board of Directors. Every precaution will be taken to prevent loss and accidents, yet the Fair Association and their help will not be responsible should any occur. 19.
