2009 CADDYSHACK GOLF TOURNAMENT TO BE ELIGIBLE TO WIN 1ST OR 2ND PLACE: (1) Each player s name must be printed on the score card. (2) Your foursome MUST indicate on the score card that each player has had at least 1 drive selected on each 9 and (3) Your foursome must have 4 players for all 18 holes (your team will not be eligible if you start or play with less than 4 players, or if you use more than the number of Mulligans allowed limit 2 per player for the day honor system). (4) Each team must have a hospital member on their team to be eligible to WIN 1st Place. Florida Scramble Rules: A scramble means that, at each hole, all 4 team members tee off and then decide which tee shot they like best and mark the spot with a tee or ball marker. The other team members pick up their balls and place them within a one-club length (no closer to the hole) of the marked spot. Each team member hits their 2nd shots from the chosen spot of the prior shot. This procedure is followed on every shot for the remainder of the hole, including putts. The ball should also be marked on the putting green. In a Florida Scramble, the twist is that the player whose shot is selected doesn t get to play the NEXT shot. So, in a Florida Scramble with teams of 4, all 4 players tee off, the best shot is selected, then only 3 players hit their 2nd shots. The best of the 2nd shots is selected and the player who hit it sits out the 3rd shots; and so on until the ball is holed. This format can really help with the pace of play in very full tourneys, and also evens the playing field a bit since it helps to spread the best shots around among teammates. One player has to sit out every shot. Putts need to be made within 3 inches of the marked spot (no closer to the hole). The first ball to go in the hole is counted for the team score. THERE IS A 2 PUTT RULE in the interest of pace of play. If you do not make it in the hole in 2 putts, please move on to the next hole. If the ball you choose to play is in the hazard (ie: sand, water) the rough or out of bounds, you cannot drop the ball outside of the hazard or rough even if relief is within one-club length away. Each team must use at least ONE of each team member s tee shots on EACH NINE. (minimum 2 tee shots per player). To Break Ties, there will be a score card playoff for the best score on the hardest holes. We will be promptly finishing the round and coming in for the dinner & awards ceremony at 6:45pm. Scoring will factor in the number of holes played to be fair for everyone. If we just keep on pace we should be able to finish all 18 holes in time! Any teams who finish earlier will be welcome to participate in the 19th hole appetizers. Mulligans: Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & Last Place Golf Etiquette: Please keep up with the group in front of you. Please smooth all marks made in the sand bunkers. Leave the putting green as soon as you have holed out. Do not play until the players in front of you are out of range. Can be used for any golf shots during hole play. (tee, fairway, greens, hazards, roughs, etc.) Mulligans cannot be used to win Hole-in-one Prizes. No foursome can use more than 2 Mulligans in Succession.
