Potential health effect: Eye: may cause eye irritation Skin: may cause skin irritation. Low hazard for usual industrial handling. Ingestion: ingestion of large amounts may cause gastrointestinal irritation. Low hazard for usual industrial handling. Large doses may cause diarrhea and acidification of the urine which may cause stones in the urinary tract. Inhalation: may cause respiratory tract irritation. Low hazard for usual industrial handling. Chronic: not found. 3. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS Hazardous components within the meaning of EEC directive 67/548 and corresponding classification: None. Vitamin C / L-(+)-ascorbic acid 97.5% minimum CAS n. 50-81-7 EINECS: 200-066-2 Molecular formulae: C6H8O6 Molecular weight: 176.3 Ethylcellulose 2.5% maximum CAS n. 9004-65-3 4. FIRST AID MEASURES Contact with skin: Wash with plenty of water and soap for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists. Wash clothing before re-use. Contact with eyes: Wash immediately with water for at least 10 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. If irritation develops, get medical aid. Page n. 1 of 4

Swallowing: Do not induce vomiting. Never give nothing by mouth to an unconsciuous person. SEEK A MEDICAL EXAMINATION IMMEDIATELY and present the safety-data sheet if irritation or symptoms occur. If conscious and alert, rinse mouth and drink 1/2 glass of water. Wash mouth out with water. Inhalation: Ventilate the premises. The patient is to be removed immediately from the contaminated premises and made to rest in a well ventilated area. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Should the patient feel unwell, OBTAIN MEDICAL ATTENTION. Note to physician: treat symptomatically and supportively. 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES General information: as in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. This material in sufficient quantity and reduced particle size is capable of creating a duct explosion. Powerful reducing agent. Autoignition temperature: 660 C Recommended extinguishers: Water, CO2, Foam, Chemical powders, according to the materials involved in the fire. Extinguishers not to be used: None in particular. Risks arising from combustion: Avoid inhaling the fumes. Protective equipment: Use protection for the respiratory tract. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Measures for personal safety: Use gloves and protective clothing. Avoid generating dust. Provide ventilation. Environmental measures: Limit leakages with earth or sand. If the product has escaped into a water course, into the drainage system, or has contaminated the ground or vegetation, notify the competent authorities. Cleaning methods: If the product is in a liquid form, stop it from entering the drainage system. Recover the product for re-use if possible, or for elimination. The product might, where appropriate, be absorbed by inert material. After the product has been recovered, rinse the area and materials involved with water. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE Handling precautions: Avoid contact and inhalation of the vapours. See, too, paragraph 8 below. Do not eat or drink while working. Wash throughly after handling. remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Keep container tighly closed. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing dust. Storage conditions: store in a cool and dry and well-ventilated place. Take away from incompatible material. Store protected from moidture. Store protected from light. Instructions as regards storage premises: Adequately ventilated premises. 8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION Precautionary measures: Page n. 2 of 4

Give adequate ventilation to the premises where the product is stored and/or handled. Respiratory protection: Wear protective mask (P2) Protection for hands: Wear protective gloves. Eye protection: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles. Protection for skin: Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin exposure. Exposure limit(s) (ACGIH): None. 9.
