Dear Teacher and Parents, Welcome to the third annual Féile na Nollag by the Sanders School of Irish Dancing to be held on December 11 th and 12 th 2010 Once again the Feis will be held at the Newmarket on Fergus Community Centre, Co. Clare and every effort will be made to provide excellent facilities for both competitors and spectators. Like last year a large dance space (30ft x 24ft) will be provided for championships which will have a professional Marley covering and 2 Dance spaces (20ft x 20ft each) will be provided for graded competitions. A practice area will also be set up for the competitors. A canteen will again be provided for all, serving tea, coffee, soup, fresh sandwiches, and much more. There will be also be a sweet shop available. I am delighted to say that we are expecting to have a very special visitor for the weekend that the children might like to get a photo with, however this does depend on how busy he will be with the run up to Christmas. Ho Ho Ho!!! But he has assured us that we are on his list. This year we will be having 3 adjudicators at the feis and again as per last year all open championships will be held on Saturday 11 th and all Grade competitions including Mean Grad (Intermediate) Championships will be held on Sunday 12 th. In all championships where a competitor does not recall they will automatically qualify for a separate set competition that I am providing free of charge. As per last year it will be my intention to ensure that the competition finish early enough on Saturday to accommodate those who are travelling that evening. Please remember that Shannon airport is only 10/15 mins from the venue. Also for anyone who is travelling I will arrange for them to be picked up and dropped back to the airport free of charge, but you must give me prior notice of arrival and departure times. At this year feis, all the 2009 champions are being invited back for a special presentation to be made to each of them. Cups and sashes will be awarded from 1 st to 5 th place in all championships, and the parade of champions will be the same where by the top three from each championship will be invited to take part. Trophies will be provided for 1 st to 3 rd in all grade trophy competition and trophies for 1 st in all other solo competitions. You will be able to purchase your feis supplies this year from a variety of stalls in the hall throughout the weekend. Again this year we are delighted to welcome back BG Designs and Flanagan Footwear. Also Tim Flemming photography will be there for all your photographic needs and will be supplying photos of all presentation plus much more.
