Welcome & General Information Terry C. Holliday P.O. Box 670109 Chugiak, Alaska 99567 Tel 907 688-4337 Fax 907 688-4338 Thank you for your interest in Holliday Air and the services provided by our group. The following is general information you may find helpful in having a successful hunt. Holliday Air is comprised of a group of pilots who own their own Air Taxi Certificates, aircraft and love to fly and experience the Alaska outdoors. Each hunting season we work together under the name of Holliday Air, owned by Terry Holliday with over 40 years of flying hunters in the bush. We operate a fleet of Super Cubs and Cessna 185 s both wheels and floats with the ability to take you where the best hunting is. Our crew - Mike Petrie, (pilot) owner of MLJ Aircraft, Tom Atkins (pilot/guide) of Tom s Alaska Guide Service. John Phipps registered guide (Terry s son in law) of John s Alaskan Adventures handles the guide outfitting with his many years of experience and expert crew. On all hunts we strive to check on you every couple of days, weather permitting. We move you as needed to keep you in good hunting areas, and we try to get your meat into Iliamna as soon as we know you have an animal down. If you are not taking your meat home we can arrange for it to be donated to local charities. You can have the animal boned and boxed for shipment in Iliamna for an extra fee. Your antlers, capes and hides can be expedited from Iliamna to your home by our agent for a reasonable fee. Holliday Air hourly charter rates are as follows: Super Cub (wheels) 1 passenger $250/hr. Cessna 185 (wheels) 3 passengers $450/hr. Cessna 206 (wheels) 4 passengers $450/hr. We will charter you by the hour anywhere out of Iliamna, but years of experience have shown hunters usually pay less when hunting by our fixed drop-out rates. We hunt game management units 9,17, and 9. We also offer fully guided hunts for caribou, moose, black bear, and brown bear. Our registered guides have a long history of hunting in Alaska and are very good at finding trophy animals. We can arrange float trips for hunting and fishing and saltwater trips for halibut and salmon in season. Should you need to stay overnight in Iliamna local accommodations are available: Karl s Lodge - PO Box 64 Iliamna, Alaska - (907) 571-1709 Iliamna Lake Lodge - PO Box 110 Iliamna, Alaska (907) 571-1526 Roadhouse Inn Iliamna, Alaska - (907) 571-1272

Tent - good quality, water and wind resistant, with extra lines and stakes. We have Coleman fuel and propane canisters for sale at cost since the airlines do not allow them to be shipped. Also federal regulations prohibit the carrying of pepper spray and bear repellents in passenger aircraft, so please leave these at home. We may have left items off this list that you feel you need in order to make your hunt more enjoyable. Holliday Air, Inc. Care of meat & Antlers It is the hunter s responsibility to know and comply with State of Alaska Hunting regulations. Wanton waste of meat is considered an extremly serious offense. All meat from caribou or moose must be salvaged and removed from the field. Antlers may not be removed from the field or kill site prior to the salvage of the meat (although the cape can be removed). It is the hunters responsibility on all unguided hunts to transport meat and trophies to camp or to a designated landing zone predetermined and approved by your pilot. It is the hunters responsibility to care for all meat and antlers and to arrange for their transfer of possession and/or transportation from Iliamna. Holliday Air will assist you with your efforts, but will not take responsibility for care or disposal of meat and antlers. Donations to charities may not be accepted if meat returns from the field in poor, wet, dirty or in other condition rendering it not fit for human consumption. For care of capes, hides and antlers, plus shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states we use Jerry Hammack Taxidermy with a receiving station at our facility in Iliamna. Jerry has been in the tanning and taxidermy business for many years and comes to Alaska each fall to help our clients. He can be contacted for pricing and details at: Jerry Hammack 1301 Broadway Kerrville, Texas 78028 Tel 830 895-1030 Fax 830 792-4550 and at Holliday Air in the fall (907) 688-4337 Meat should be quartered and placed in breathable game bags. Your pilot can give you tips on keeping your game dry and cool. Harvest tickets and locking tags are to be punched and attached in the field immediately after the kill. Antlers remain at the kill site until all meat is packed to camp. Capes may be packed out at anytime. Bring out all meat, bone in quarters, evidence of sex attached.
