Processing fumes may cause irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory tract. In cases of severe overexposure, nausea and headache may occur. Condensate from fumes that collects on vent ducting, molds, and other surfaces can cause irritation and injury to skin. Routes of entry and systems: Ingestion: Not acutely toxic

Skin: Eye: Inhalation: Pellets not likely to cause skin irritation Product may cause irritation or injury due to mechanical action. Pellet inhalation unlikely due to physical form Section 4 EMERGENCY FIRST AID Eyes: Skin: Inhalation: Ingestion: Chronic Effects: Medical Conditions generally aggravated by this material: Remove contact lenses at once. Immediately flush eyes well with copious quantities of water or normal saline for at least 20-30 minutes. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Seek medical attention. If contacted by molten material, cool immediately with cold water and seek medical attention. Do not remove material from skin. Not likely to be inhaled due to physical form. Processing offgases may cause respiratory irritation. Remove affected to fresh air and assist in breathing if necessary. Not probable. If large amount is swallowed, seek medical attention. No known human health effects aggravated by exposure to this product. However, certain sensitive individuals and individuals with respiratory impairments may be affected by exposure to components in the processing fumes. Section 5 FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD DATA Flash Ignition Temperature: No information available Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazards: No information available Phenolic compounds, nitrogen oxide, hydrogen Hazardous Combustion Products: bromide, carbon monoxide, small amounts of hydrogen cyanide and styrene Keep personnel removed and upwind of fire. Special Fire Fighting Instructions: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective fire fighting clothing.

Extinguishing Media: Water, foam, dry chemical, CO2 ACCIDENTAL RELEASES Section 6 Spill or Release: Sweep or gather material and place in proper container for disposal or recovery. Spills present slipping hazard on walking surfaces. STORAGE CONDITIONS Section 7 NORMAL HANDLING: Following recommendations on label and in processing guide. Prevent contact with skin and eyes. Use good industrial hygiene practices. Provide adequate ventilation. Secondary operations such as grinding, sanding, or sawing may product a dust explosion hazard. Use aggressive housekeeping activities to prevent dust accumulation. Employ bonding, grounding, venting, and explosion relief provisions in accordance with accepted engineering practices. STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS: Store in a dry place away from moisture, excessive heat, and sources of ignition. Avoid storage near foods to prevent food contamination. Section 8 PROTECTION INFORMATION Eye: Skin: Ventilation: Wear safety glasses with side shields or chemical goggles. In addition, use full-face shield when cleaning processing fume condensates from hoods, ducts, and other surfaces. When handling pellets avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin. When melt processing product wear long pants, long sleeves, well-insulated gloves, and face shield when applicable. Use appropriate protective clothing, including chemical resistant gloves, to prevent any contact with processing fume condensates. A continuous supply of fresh air to the workplace together with removal of processing fumes through

Respirator: Additional Protective Measures: exhaust systems is recommended. Processing fume condensate may be a fire hazard and toxic; remove periodically from exhaust hoods, ductwork, and other surfaces using appropriate personal protection. For powders and residual dusts, refer to Handling and Storage Section (Section 7). Ventilation requirements must be locally determined to limit exposure to processing fumes in the workplace. When processing fumes are not adequately controlled, use respirator approved for protection from organic vapors and acid gases. When dust or powder from secondary operations (grinding, sawing, sanding) is not adequately controlled, use respirator approved for protection from dust. Section 9 PHYSICAL/CHEMICAL DATA Appearance: Solid plastic pellet Odor: None Melting Point: 220 260C Solubility in Water: Insoluble Volatile Content %: Negligible Specific Gravity: > 1.25 Section 10 HAZARDOUS REACTIVITY Stability at Room Temperature: Materials to Avoid: Conditions to Avoid: Decomposition Temperature: Decomposition Products: Stable Exceeding melt temperatures. Purging s should be collected in small, flat shapes, or thin strands to allow for rapid cooling; quench in water to avoid auto ignition. Traces of phenol, alkylphenols, and diarylcarbonates.

Section 11 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION See Section 2 for potential health effects. ECOLOGICAL INFORMATION Section 12 Not expected to present any significant ecological problems. DISPOSAL Section 13 Waste Disposal: Recycling is encouraged. Landfill or incinerate in accordance with federal, state/provincial, and local requirements.
