OF SOUTH TEXAS PRESENT November 21,22,23, 2008 The members of San Jacinto Corvette Club and Corvette Owners Association of South Texas invite you to join us at Grand Sport Speedway in Hitchcock, Texas. This is Texas s most historic racing facility, dating back to the 60's and John Mecom s racing stables which included the Corvette Grand Sport. The 1.3 mile Mako Circuit offers probably the best paved surface of any track in Texas and we plan to offer several challenging course configurations. Check out the video at www.grandsportspeedway.com. This is another NO FRILLS event and no awards will be presented. Lunches will be provided for entrants and workers on Friday and Saturday. Lodging: A block of rooms has been reserved at the Comfort Inn, 320 TX 146, Texas City, Texas 77590. A special rate of $79.99 has been made for the Corvette club. To make reservations call 409.945.5300. Reservations must be made no later than November 14, 2008. There is minimal trailer parking at the hotel and cars trailers, and motor homes will be allowed over night at the track Registration and Tech: Thursday, November 20, 2008, registration and tech will be held from 6:00pm till 8:00pm at the host hotel and Friday at the track beginning at 8:30am till 5:00pm. Please try to arrive early enough Friday to register and tech at the track if you are not running Tune and Test. Registration will be held from 6:30pm till 8:00pm Friday evening at the host hotel. There is no scheduled tech for Friday or Saturday nights. Tech sheet will be handed out at registration. Hospitality: A room has been reserved at the host hotel for registration and hospitality for Friday and Saturday nights. Snacks, soft drinks, wine and beer will be provided to promote casual conversation and bench racing. Tune and Test: Arrangements have been made securing the track for Friday November 21 for a Tune and Test day. Cars will be divided into run groups of drivers with similar experience. Track gates open at 8:00am and registration will be held in the administration building. Driver s meeting is scheduled for 8:45 am followed by a course drive-thru.
