PA SECTION 7 TOURNAMENT RULES AND PROCEDURES HIGHLIGHTS GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP IS THE HALLMARK OF ALL SUCCESSFUL LITTLE LEAGUE TOURNAMENTS 1. The Tournament Rules and Regulations as published by Little League Baseball shall be binding, abided by and strictly enforced. 2. All teams will submit their eligibility affidavits to the Tournament Director prior to each game. These affidavits must be verified immediately (and signed) after each game and returned to the respective teams. 3. Each manager is encouraged to have, in his or her possession, a medical release signed by the parent/legal guardian for each player listed on the eligibility affidavits. 4. Players, manager, and coaches that become involved in any misconduct, on or off the field, or at their lodging, may be dismissed from the tournament. The activity and person will be reported to the Little League Headquarters Tournament Committee, the parent league District Administrator and the League President. 5. The team manager is responsible for uniforms and equipment. All players must be in uniform, with the Little League approved patch. 6. Only Manager, Coaches, and Players listed on the official tournament eligibility affidavit are permitted in the dugout or playing field. 7. All batting helmets must be NOCSAE approved with the warning labels. 8. Catchers must wear a mask with approved helmet (skullcap type not permitted) and throat guard. 9. Shoes with metal cleats or spikes shall not be worn by players, manager, coaches, or umpires. (Exception: Metal cleats or spikes permitted in Inter, JR, SR & Big League Baseball ONLY) 10. No Jewelry will be allowed on the playing field regardless of the material. This includes earrings, necklaces, rings, and watches. Medical alert items ARE PERMITTED.

11. Tobacco/Tobacco products shall not be allowed in the dugouts or playing field. 12. Game balls will be supplied by the Host District. 13. All pregame practices will be on your home field. A short infield/outfield warm-up may be allowed on the game field prior to the game if conditions permit. This warm-up may or may not be on the game field. 14. Dugout Assignment: The schedules distributed show two teams for each game. The team traveling the least will occupy the First Base Dugout. The team traveling the farthest will occupy the Third Base Dugout. 15. Home Team Selection: The game field is neutral for each game. A coin-flip will determine home/visiting teams. The team traveling the longest distance will call the coin-flip. 16. Fifteen minutes prior to the game start, managers, coaches, umpires and the game director will meet at home plate to conduct the coin-flip, review the ground rules and answer any pre-game questions. 17. Both teams will line-up as directed by the tournament director when introduced and remain there for the National Anthem and the Little League Pledge. 18. Both teams will meet at the home plate area immediately at the conclusion of the game and shake hands. 19. Complimentary refreshments will be served to both teams after the game. 20. At the conclusion of the tournament, the Section 7 Winning Team will be awarded a championship flag. Section medallions will be awarded to each participant of the Champion and runner-up teams. Quarryville, PA 17566 From the west: RT 283 East to Lancaster to RT 72S Exit. Follow exit ramp to the right. Proceed towards downtown Lancaster. Eventually you will come to Prince St. (RT 222S/RT 272S). Turn right at light and cross bridge on Prince St. Continue following Prince St. (RT 222S/RT 272S) through the town. It will eventually turn into RT 222S. Stay o n RT 222S (Approximately 10-12 miles) until you get to RT 372 in Quarryville. Turn left onto RT 372 East, continue about 1 mile and turn right onto RT 472S. Stay on RT 472 about 2-3 miles. You will see the Solanco LL Complex on your right. From the east: Follow RT 30 Bypass west until the end at Business RT 30. Stay on RT 30 west 3-5 miles to RT 41S. Follow RT 41S several miles to RT 372W. Take RT 372W 6-8 miles into Quarryville. You will cross a bridge as you come into town, shortly after crossing the bridge turn left on RT 472S. Stay on RT 472 about 2-3 miles. You will see the Solanco LL Complex on your right. From the north: Follow RT 222S from Reading to Lancaster. Continue on RT 222S/RT 272S through Lancaster (it will become Prince St. when you get into the city). Continue following Prince St. (RT 222S/RT 272S) through the town. It will eventually turn into RT 222S. Stay o n RT 222S (Approximately 10-12 miles) until you get to RT 372 in Quarryville. Turn left onto RT 372 East, continue about 1 mile and turn right onto RT 472S. Stay on RT 472 about 2-3 miles. You will see the Solanco LL Complex on your right. From the south: Follow RT 1 south to RT 472 exit. Take RT 472 north toward Quarryville (about 7-10 miles). You will see the Solanco LL complex on your left.

Section 7 Tournament Batting Practice Guidelines for Solanco There are batting cages located at Fields #2 and #4. The cage at Field #2 is a double cage and may be utilized by two teams simultaneously. The cage at Field #4 is a single cage and will have to be shared. Batting Practice prior to games will commence as noted below: o FIELD 2 The team noted on the left side of the schedule will utilize the left side of the batting cage. The cage will be open to that team until 10 minutes prior to the scheduled game time start. At that time we would like the team to return to their dugout for pre-game ceremonies. The team noted on the right side of the schedule will utilize the right side of the batting cage. The cage will be open to that team until 10 minutes prior to the scheduled game time start. At that time we would like the team to return to their dugout for pre-game ceremonies. o FIELD 4 The team noted on the left side of the schedule will have access to the batting cage for a 25 minute period 60 minutes prior to the scheduled game time start. The team noted on the right side of the schedule will have access to the batting cage for a 25 minute period 35 minutes prior to the scheduled game time start. Both teams are requested to be in their dugouts 10 minutes prior to the scheduled game time starts. Pre-game ceremonies will begin at that time. PLEASE NOTE THAT TEAMS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE THE FIELD FOR INFIELD/OUTFIELD PRACTICE.
