Welcome to the 2017 Golf Season! The golf staff at Wedgewood Golf & Country Club is excited to be back for another great year of golf at the club. It is our goal to make you and your families feel that Wedgewood is truly your home away from home. The golf course has always been, and will always remain one of the premier courses in the Columbus area, and it is our goal to ensure that each member will receive a unique and great golf experience. The golf staff and golf committee have planned a variety of tournaments and events throughout the season for all levels of play. We encourage all Members to participate in as many of these events as possible. As a staff, we are always looking to improve our golf calendar of events each year. As this book goes to print, we are working to continue the success of our Junior Golf Program and a separate informational program will be forthcoming. Over the past two years, we ve introduced successful ladies clinics, grown our evening men s league and continued to build our evening ladies programs that will continue to entail instructional clinics and/or the opportunity to play a few holes in a casual low stress environment. For those who are regular players, or new to the game, this evening league will provide a great opportunity to play and socialize throughout the season. Our ladies only demo day will be an extension of our ladies evening program as well. As a reminder to all, the golf shop here at Wedgewood follows the Mill River program. For those of you new to the club, or just as a refresher for all, each golf member pays $200 per year, and all merchandise in the golf shop is priced at a small percentage above wholesale. We are here to help find exactly what you need for all your golfing needs. Once again, welcome to the 2017 golf season! We look forward to making this a fantastic year for everyone at the Club. Sincerely, Jimmy Logue, Director of Golf Peter Zellmer, Head Golf Professional Brian LeCrone, Assistant Golf Professional Mike Shontz, Assistant Golf Professional 1

Professional Golf Staff Director of Golf..Jimmy Logue Head Golf Professional.. Peter Zellmer Assistant Golf Professionals Brian LeCrone, Mike Shontz Golf Course Superintendent.Joe Noppenberger Golf Committee Mission Statement The mission of the Golf Committee is to promote interest in, enthusiasmfor and support of the game of golf among Wedgewood Members; providing Members the greatest possible competitive experience by offering golf events that are fair and equitable to all participants. To achieve this mission, the Committee s goals will be: Promote the true spirit of the game of golf by encouraging proper etiquette and enforcement of the rules of the game as defined by the USGA. Plan, schedule and monitor golf tournaments throughout the golf season. A variety of formats will provide an opportunity for golfers of all skill levels to be competitive in any given tournament. Ensure all competitors are equitable by periodically reviewing the accuracy of all Members handicaps. The golf handicap system relies on the integrity of the individual golfer, and it is each Member s responsibility to record his individual scores accurately and promptly. The Golf Shop and Handicap Committee will be asked to review any inconsistency in reporting. 3

4 Practice Range Policy Modern golf equipment technology is putting stress and hindrances on golf courses and practice facilities designed many years ago. The Board of Directors at Wedgewood continually reviews available options to ensure the safety of all Members and staff while upholding the aesthetics and integrity on which the Club was founded. A number of golfers have demonstrated the ability to hit golf balls beyond the limitations of our practice range endangering individuals on the 12th tee, the Maintenance building, and the adjacent maintenance parking area. Therefore, a simple policy of NO TOLER ANCE will be enforced for these golfers that have the ability to endanger others. All Members are asked to monitor the use of the range. If anyone is found violating this policy by deliberately hitting golf balls beyond the boundary of the range into aforementioned areas, they will lose their range privileges for the remainder of the golf season. Please report any possible violations or concerns to the golf shop. 2017 Ohio State Football Schedule August 31...@Indiana September 9..
