II. CONFIRMATION AND ACCREDITATION The Accreditation Office will be opened till the end of the World Championships in «Wuxi Sport Center indoor Stadium with the following schedule: July 16-18 Opening hours 09.00-18.00 July 19-26 Opening hours 09.00-17.00 July 27 Opening hours 09.00-12.00 1. Neither the fencers nor the coaches will have an access to the competition area without their valid accreditations.the attendance of a fencer is confirmed once he/she is registered at the FIE website. 2. The participation of athletes in individual and team events is validated when collecting their accreditations, no later than 14h00 the day before athletes have their first competition. Fencers do not need to present themselves at the Directoire Technique. Federations who have not yet made their payments are asked to settle their accounts with FIE Secretary Treasurer Mm. Salhi or FIE office by 12:00 on July 18th, 2018. III. INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION At 12h00 on the day preceding the event the Directoire Technique will publish at the Competition Venue and on the internet: The list of participants by country. The list of participants by initial ranking. The list of participants by initial ranking (drawing pools in the World Cadet Championships according to the Organization Rules of FIE Art o.39). At 15h00 is the deadline for all remarks, objections or withdrawals presented to the Directoire Technique. No changes will be accepted beyond this deadline. At 16h00 on the information panels in the Competition Venue and at 17h00 in the official hotels and in the pigeon holes the Directoire Technique will publish the following information: Final composition of the pools. Time and pistes allocations. Competition format. List of the 16 exempted fencers. The final Direct Elimination table of 64 will be displayed every evening of the respective qualifications days at the Competition Venue information points, on the website, at the official hotels and in the pigeon holes.

IV. TEAM COMPETITION WUXI 2018 SENIOR WORLD FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS The Directoire Technique must be notified of any changes related to the teams by 10h00 the day prior to the event. Direct Elimination tables of 64-32 will be posted in the Competition Venue and official hotels the day preceding the team event at 16h00. Preliminary tables of T32-16 will be fenced in the Preliminary & Main Halls. (color pistes and pistes N 5-8), in the first day preliminary competitions of teams. Final Direct Elimination tables of 8 will be posted Immediately in the Competition Venue, after the end of preliminary competitions. The drawing of lots to place the teams up or down on the match score-sheet, according to the Rules, will be held where indicated by the DT. Qualifying matches T5-8 will be held on the color pistes N 5-8. The team ranking is set according to the Organization Rules of FIE events: Art. o.98. V. COMPETITION VENUE From `19th to 27th July 2018, the of Wuxi Sport Center indoor Stadium will become a genuine fencing village where areas dedicated to competitions and training sessions will alternate with technical and operational areas. The of Wuxi Sport Center indoor Stadium is subdivided into: The First Floor:

Main Hall: 4 color pistes and final podium with Videorefereeing TISSOT. Call Room, DT, Referees Room, Medical Room and Medical station, Mixed Zone, Info Desk, Preliminary Hall N 1: 10 qualification pistes including 4 colour pistes with Videorefereeing system TISSOT. Restaurants.

VII. EQUIPMENT AND WEAPON CONTROL Equipment requirements All the equipment must be in good condition and in working order complying with FIE regulations and will be checked under control of the FIE SEMI commission and all the fencers of the same team have to be the same. The list of accepted item are mentioned in the table below. It is mandatory to put the logos of the countries on both legs of the breeches. The name of the athlete and the name of the country must be printed in dark blue on the back; the size of the letters should be between 8 and 10 cm high. All the prints must be readable. In the venue it will be possible to print the names. All the advertising and manufacturer logos must be in conformity with the FIE Publicity Code requirements and will be checked. After collecting the equipment it is necessary for the athletes to check the presence of the control markings. For additional information, please, see m.25 of the FIE Material Rules. On July 16 and 17, all kinds of weapon will be taken for control. Since July 18, only those wepons that fence the next day. From 14.00 to 18.00 - delivery of equipment. Weapon control will be carried out daily from 16 July. From 08.00 to 13.00 - reception of equipment. 1. Fencers must provide their weapons and equipment to the weapon control room for the whole team at the same time, the day before the start of the individual event.

2. All weapon and equipment should be in a good, serviceable condition and comply with the requirement of FIE regulations. 3. The list and quantity of the equipment to be taken are provided in Table 1. 4. All weapon and equipment should be packed in fencing bags, the electrical part must be put separately (points 1-4, Table 1). The weapon must be put in a separate bag. 5. Control of the non-electrical part of the equipment (points 5-9, table 1) and all kinds of masks will be carried out directly in the reception zone, in the presence of the athlete. 6. It is necessary to have the logos of the country, on both sides, on the fencing trousers. 7. The name of the athlete and the name of the country should be printed in blue on the back, the letters can range between 8 and 10 centimeters in height. All inscriptions should be readable. 8. In the weapon control room, weight retention is not checked by the tip. In preliminary competitions, before the start of the direct elimination round, the referee checks the weapon on the piste before each bout. 9. In the call room, the athlete must provide at least three weapons and at least three electric wires for control. 10. After receiving the equipment, it is necessary to check the presence of the marking. ATTENTION! An electronic system for organizing and managing the queue will be used in the weapons control zone. In order to pass the control of equipment, you need to put weapons and equipment in two bags. 1st equipment n-n. 1-4 of Table 1. 2-nd equipment, pp 5-9 tab. 2. You need to know the exact number of weapons and equipment you have! Only after that you can go to the monitor. Do not delay anybody! Enter the data (country and list of equipment being handed over) and get a ticket with the number. You go to Bag # 1 at the reception window. With bag number 2, you go to the control desks where it will be checked in your presence in your presence. If during this time the 1st bag is has been checked, then you take it, and if not, wait for the end of control. You will be called. Then wait until the number appears on the information boards. ATTENTION! The terminal operates in automatic mode and receives information about the composition of teams after accreditation. If the quantity of inventory handed over to the control does not match the table1 for the whole team, the terminal will not give you a coupon with the queue number and you will not be able to pass control.

The purpose is to check whether the electric jacket fits for the athlete s body. Breast / chest protectors The use of a breast/chest protector (made of metal or some rigid material - see M.25.4 is compulsory for women and optional for men. At foil, this breast/chest protector with a special soft layer must be worn below the protective plastron. The soft layer has to be approved by SEMI FIE and have the FIE logo. Mask All the participants WCH have to fully comply with the new rule concerning the new fastening system of the mask (see M.25.7) Mask designs Masks may feature coloured designs, on condition that they are approved by the FIE. VII. MEDICAL STATIONS Medical stations will be at the following places: The First Floor Main Hall -1 stations The First Floor Preliminary Hall N 1-2 stations The Third Floor Preliminary Hall N 2-2 stations

Only the designated fencers, referees and piste staff are granted access to the pistes. No access will be granted to the colored pistes, podium fencing area without sports shoes and long pants. Athletes in the fencing area must keep their belongings in closed fencing bags at the end of the piste. Individual competitions: One coach per athlete and per piste is allowed to stay in team box. Athletes should be present in Call Room 30 minutes prior to the beginning of DE T32 (the first check by StM company). Coaches cannot be present in the call room. The coach representing the athlete must wear sports suit (long pants are obligatory). Team competitions: the team captain and one more person is allowed to stay in the box reserved for teams (Only 6 persons). All fencers and referees must appear at: The piste 15 minutes before the beginning of the pools. The piste 10 minutes before the beginning of the match Pre DE (T128,T64). Athletes should be present in The Call Room 30 minutes before the beginning of the DE T32 (the first check of company StM). Athletes should be present inthe Call Room 20 minutes before the beginning of the DET 16, T8. Team competitions: The team captain and one more person is allowed to stay in the box reserved for teams (Only 6 persons) The coaches representing the athlete must wear sports suit (long pants are obligatory) All fencers and referees must appear at: WUXI 2018 SENIOR WORLD FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS VIII. ACCESS TO THE FENCING AREA The piste 10 minutes before the beginning of the match Pre DE (T128,T64). Athletes should be present in The Call Room 30 minutes before the beginning of the DE T 32 (the first check of company StM). Athletes should be present inthe Call Room 20minutes before the beginning of the DE T16, T8.

IX. INFORMATION POINTS Two fixed information points are at the Competition Venue: The information board will be on the corridor wall at the main entrance for the athletes Information screens and display monitors in the Competition Venue will be placed in: Accreditation room Call Room and Referees Room Press Room VIP and President s Room FIE office DT WUXI 2018 SENIOR WORLD FENCING CHAMPIONSHIPS The catering restaurant-the qualification hall-the rest zone/vip restaurant-the entrance of the athletes complex-near the VIP stands-the entrance of the Competition Venue-the vendors room all public and athlete meeting places. There will be many posts related to the pistes and services on color cardboard signs and totems. X. CONFIRMATION OF THE RESULTS The fencers are responsible for checking if the results in their pool and the DE sheets are recorded correctly. The screens placed in different locations will allow a quick verification of the updated results of the round of pools and DE matches. To avoid any kind of error the DT will publish the results of the pools and the list of qualified and eliminated fencers as soon as the round of pools is over. Delegations must submit any protest to the DT within 10 minutes. After this deadline, the ranking will not be modified. The DE tables, together with the schedule and pistes, will be posted after this 10-minutes period and after each round of DE. Only documents presented at the information stand are official (result of preliminary competitions of groups, an individual ranking). No calls will be made via microphone.

XI. ORGANISATION OF THE INDIVIDUAL DIRECT ELIMINATION TABLE For T64 all fencers must be present in the official warm-up area (pistes 9-14) 40 minutes before the planned beginning of their matches. Fencers of T64 must be present in the Call Room (for weapon control) 20 minutes before the planned beginning of their matches to be lead to the color pistes and pistes N 5-8 at the scheduled time. Coaches are not allowed to be in the Call Room. The winners of the T64 matches will be led back to the Call Room for carrying out of equipment procedure by StM (wireless)immediately. Wireless system is to be used from the T32 at all three weapons. Wireless system will be controlled in the Call Room. Foil and sabre fencers must provide their own conductive t-shirts. ATTENTION! Athletes should have T-shirts for wireless fencing with control mark! Sabre and foil conductive T-shirts are different. The athletes conductive T-shirts (foil and sabre) are to be checked and approved (sealed) by the weapon control officials under the supervision of a member of the FIE SEMI Commission in the Call Room. The control mark (stamp) will be verified by the referee once the fencers appear on piste. The SEMI delegates will remit the weapons in closed fencing bags, which will be carried by volunteers who will escort the athletes to the color pistes. The bag is to remain closed and put in the team box under the supervision of the volunteer. During the one minute break, or when it is needed, the volunteer will bring a chair, a towel, some water and the spare weapon.to the athlete. Athletes are to leave the Call Room ready to fence, mask in hand and weapon already plugged into their body wires. ATTENTION! In case the fencer does not appear at the Call Room at the appointed time (according to time specified in the schedule) the sanctions according to the rules (art t.120) will be applied.

XII. ORGANISATION OF THE TEAM DIRECT ELIMINATION TABLE For the T 64, T32 and T16 teams must appear on the piste 10 minutes before the planned beginning of their bouts. After the end of the preliminary competitions, all teams taking part in a final stage of tournament (T8) should hand over masks to the representatives of StM company for installation procedure of wireless equipment. Teams, taking part in competitions N 8 should arrive in Call Room 30 minutes prior to the beginning of competitions (check of StM). The winners of the T8 matches will be lead back to the Call Room immediately. Equipment Control in the Call Room will be from T8 (in earlier stages equipment control will be made on the piste). Equipment will be controlled in the team boxes during the matches. Wireless system will be used from the T8 at all three weapons. Wireless system will be controlled in the Call Room. Foil and sabre fencers must provide their own conductive t-shirts. ATTENTION! Sabre and foil conductive t-shirts are different. The athletes conductive T-shirts (foil and sabre) are to be checked and approved (sealed) by the weapons control officials under the supervision of a member of the FIE SEMI Commission in the Call Room. The control mark (stamp) will be verified by the referee once the fencers appear on piste. The teams will have designated areas, sectioned off by barriers, near the color pistes and pistes 1-4. Team members must remain within these areas during the team matches. From T8, weapons have to be given to volunteers by the SEMI delegates in the closed fencing bags. The volunteers will escort teams to the color pistes. The bags are to remain closed during team matches. ATTENTION! In case the team does not appear the Call Room at the appointed time (according to time specified in the schedule) the sanctions according to the rules (art t.120) will be applied. XIII. VIDEO-REFEREEING Video-refereeing is used in all three weapons from the T64 at the individual events. Video-refereeing is used in all three weapons from the T16 at the team events. Designation of referees and video-consultants is done according to art. t.37 and t.38 of the Technical Rules.
