Dallas District Men s Retreat Fishing Tournament Rules and Regulations Date: Friday and Saturday, September 19 & 20 Location: Caddo Lake See map for public boat launch locations Entry Fee: $25 per person/$40 per team before Monday, September 16 th. Postmarked after September 16 th, entry fee is $35 per person/$50 per team. Half of the entry fees will go to Scottsville Camp. Tournament Details: Fishing will begin at noon on Friday. Catch reports are due to the tournament official by 4:00 pm on Saturday. Registration: See registration form below. Scoring: Prizes will be awarded to the top three individuals/teams based on the combined weight of their best five fish. 1 st Prize - $100, 2 nd Prize - $50, 3 rd Prize - $25. One $25 prize will be awarded for the biggest fish overall. Eligible Species: Only Largemouth Bass will qualify Acceptable Methods: Rod and reel only Live bait and artificial lures Weigh-in: This will be a catch-photo-release tournament. In the spirit of conservation, we will be releasing the fish we catch. The guidelines for measuring and photographing fish are as follows: 1. The measuring board must be a commercial metal model which clearly shows the numbers and lines for inch and half-inch markings. NO HOMEMADE OR RETRACTABLE TAPE MEASURES. 2. The camera must have the time/date feature turned on ENSURE THAT IT IS ACCURATE. 3. A fish photograph should show the fish with mouth completely closed touching the end of the ruler with tail extended for maximum length. All fish photos must be taken with the fish facing left and the dorsal fin up. Only digital photos will be accepted. No fish will be recorded which does not comply with the prescribed photo requirements. Fish length will be rounded to the next higher half-inch. Fish photos must be submitted no later than 4:00pm on Saturday. Boat Launches: There are a few good put-in spots, but a couple of them require a fee. The boat ramp at Hwy 43 is free, and has ample parking and a good boat ramp. Caddo Lake State Park has a good ramp as well, but requires a day-use fee. Shady Glade Marina, Johnson s Ranch, and Cripp s Camp all have single-lane ramps, and require a few dollar fee to use. Anglers must have a valid Texas fishing license. Keep in mind this is an amateur tournament. Disputes will be handled by the tournament facilitators.
