Activation Skateboarding Australia The sustainable development model providing consistent engagement all year round Legitimate Model - Development is not available anywhere else in the world Inclusive: FREE to participate in for everyone Established a career path for Australian skateboarders
Activation Skateboarding Australia 30 Hubs nationwide and growing, a demonstrated ability through the Hubs to stay resourced across the whole year Sustainability, longevity and shared commitment Achieving legitimate sponsorship Achieving ongoing funding from varying levels of Government: Federal State Local
Fee for service models Activation Not equitable, less opportunity The SbA model is an equitable model that is FREE to participate in Ad Hoc, One Off or Mixed Discipline Events SbA s experience shows that these events are not a sustainable model for the community. Why? No regular opportunity for participants to engage No regular opportunity to develop They don t provide a pathway They lack direction Confuse identity and culture When a sustainable model is provided, skateboarding mentoring and culture enables young skateboarders to develop an identity in skateboarding.
