Registration All players must register with USA Hockey first, then with Bulldog Hockey through our website All players MUST be registered with USA Hockey as well as Bulldog Hockey PRIOR to taking the ice REGISTRATION DEADLINES: Squirts, 10U, 12U, PeeWees, & Bantams please register by SEPTEMBER 18 th We will accept registrations up until tryouts for each level Mites and Mini Mites please register by NOVEMBER 30 th Heather Magelee, Registrar 6
First Year Players First year players must turn in a COPY of their players state issued birth certificate. Can be scanned and emailed to me or turned in to myself or your team coordinator; texted photos of the certificate cannot be accepted To get a copy contact the county courthouse where the birth was recorded Players will NOT be added to a roster until I have a valid birth certificate 7
Hockey Operations Committee The HOC was formed to oversee on-ice related situations including, coaching, tryouts, clinics, etc. Thus allowing the Board to focus on Association oversight, direction, fundraising and other larger topics Members & Positions Chair/Ice Scheduling & Registration Coordinator Matt Hathaway Dryland Coordinator Shea Roehrkasse Clinic Coordinator Reegan Rehm Coaching Coordinator Chad Olness Tryout Coordinator/Coaches Room Keeper Ron McCabe Board Liaison Greg Westerman Tryouts Skills Assessments will occur on 10/8, 12 & 16 for ONLY skaters in the Squirt and higher levels All skaters are placed on a team. The assessments are used to balance rosters, help ensure kids are competing at the most appropriate skill level, maximize fun and increase skills development Final team rosters expected to be posted to the website on or around 10/21 Watch for more specific Tryout information to come in late Sept/early Oct! Fundraising Fundraising is the key to keeping the cost of hockey down for you and all of our members! Fundraising Requirements for the 2017-2018 Hockey Season: Mini Mites $100 Mites $200 Squirts/10U $300 PeeWees/12U $300 Bantams/15U $300 Family Maximum $500 Buyout Option: Andrea LaGow, Fundraising Chair Jennifer Cruz, Fundraising Assist. Families have the option to buy out of their fundraising requirement at the time of registration. Note: The registration system is not set up to accept buyout balances (if you participated in the Golf Tournament) or partial buyouts. These must be remitted by check to the Association Treasurer. Fundraising balances should be settled by January 13, 2018 (raffle drawing). 11

Earn 5% for Kwik Trip cards and 4% for Holiday cards Schwan s Cares Fundraising Campaign This is Free Money! New campaign kicks off November 1 st, 2017 and runs thru December 16 th, 2017. Earn 20% on products and 40% on egift Cards (Limit (1) egift Card per supporter email address) Receive a Credit For Extra Concession Stand Hours You will earn a $100 credit towards your fundraising requirement if you agree to work 8 additional volunteer hours in the concession stand during the 2017-2018 season. Distributes Workload among all of the Hockey families A great way to meet others in the association Family Requirements 25 hours for one player families 40 hours for multiple player families Hours must be worked by an Adult (18 years and older) Finding Hours - Dibs is online tool for claiming posted hours and available through your SportsEngine log in; emails are sent out when hours are available Inquire about open Chair positions Team Managers/Coordinators Referee Coordinator New This Year! Club Communications Association Coordinator Liaison between the Bulldog Hockey Association Board and the families. Provide guidance to the Team Coordinators. Bulldog Website Main source of communication (Team Calendar, Fundraising Dates, Clothing) Team Coordinators Team Coordinators are the main line of communication between the coach and players/parents. Take care of non-coaching aspects of their team (team meetings, pictures, scheduling games, team communication etc) Each team will have their own coordinator. Club Communications Equipment You are able to borrow equipment from the Association. Skates, shin guards, shoulder pads, breezers, elbow pads and gloves are available but sizes are limited. Helmets are not available due to expiration dates. At the end of the season the equipment must be returned. The equipment must be cleaned and a receipt of the cleaning needs to be presented when returning the equipment. When skates are returned, they need to be re-laced with white laces. Jerseys Provided through Jersey Coordinator Jersey Care: Mini Mites and Mites available within a week or two after starting. Squirt levels and up MUST have a garment a closed garment bag (bottom must be closed). Wash jerseys often to prevent staining. Leave the Sponsor tag on the jersey. Wash jerseys in cold water to prevent color bleeding. Hang dry. Jill Stensrud, Association Coordinator 15
Club Communications Locker Room Policy Mini Mite and Mite levels Parents are allowed in the locker room to help their skater dress and tie skates. Squirt levels and up Moms are not allowed in the locker room (girls teams are the opposite). Locker Rooms are a VERY busy place! If you own your equipment, place your childs name on it. Place your belongings back into your bag when you are done changing. Other Miscellaneous Items Videos on the Bulldog website on how to dress your hockey player.
