February 1, 2016 Sampson County Center Southeast District 4-H Horse Bowl Contest held @ the University of Mount Olive Sampson County 4-H Horse Bowl team competed at the District Horse Bowl Contest on Saturday, January 30th. Big congrats to the team for their success! Sampson County placed 3rd Overall, and 4-Hers Julie Gore placed 4th and Megan Merritt place 3rd overall in the Mixed Division! Great job! 4-H Public Speaking/Dramatic Reading Workshop February 18, 2016 @ the 4-H Extension Office from 6:00-8:00pm Must register by February 12th On Thursday, February 18th a workshop is being held to give youth guidance and ideas to improve their communication skills for public speaking and dramatic reading. This is a workshop designed to help youth research their subject, organize their ideas and practice and develop their public speaking skills. Sampson County Livestock Facility. Bunny Bowl divisions will consist of breed ID, anatomy, judging, and showmanship. You may bring your own rabbit, but not required. Rabbit Show will begin directly following Bunny Bowl. A mixture of intense classroom and hands-on activities will equip individuals with information needed to have a quality 4-H Livestock project. Showmanship and a skill-a-thon will take place both days. Exhibitor entry form AND an entry form for each animal is to be completed.
