Dear friends; It is an honor for the Puerto Rico Canoe Federation to receive all the Pan-American countries in the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico. The Pan American Championship for sprint returns to Puerto Rico after 14 years. I can assure you that those of you who had the opportunity to be part of that Pan American Championship in 1999, will appreciate the new venue and great organization. The event will take place in the facilities of the Cerrillos Lake from the 18th to the 20 th of October. In these facilities we recently celebrated the canoeing and rowing events in the framework of the Central American and Caribbean Games 2010. This event was attended by the President of the International Canoe Federation Mr. José Perurena, who approved the facilities as one of the best. I want to thank as President of the Canoe Federation of Puerto Rico and Vicepresident of the Olympic Committee, the support of the Pan American Canoe Confederation, as well as each of the countries in the continent of America, and the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico, for bringing once again the Pan-American Canoe Sprint Championship.
