It was determined this is alternate shot and more of a social event than a Golf activity. This will still count towards the three times a guest residing in McDonough County may be a golf guest. Please bring your friends, and prospective members, and enjoy the Clubhouse after golf.
Volunteers stepping up @ Your Club Thank you to all the members that participated in the Pot Party. All the pots around the tent and patio were completed in a short period with all the participants. Thank you: Sandy Sullivan, Karen Helmers, Barb Baily, Lana Bullock, Lynnette & Nina Cale; Tim & Lynn Van Alstine who brought soil & mulch Joanne Findley who planted flowers at the entry sign and brought the patio workers fresh pumpkin bread. Many hands made short work of the project. As of Memorial Day we have donations from members to transplant 26 nice sized trees. Jeff Hoyt has tagged the trees on Bill Heap s property that Heap has offered the Club. The person transferring the trees has said we need to wait until fall to transplant. From his experience the trees will stress too much by moving this time of year. We are looking at mature Red Oak, Black Oak and Pin Oaks. Also, thank you to Jack McPherson for his help in coordinating watering of these trees once they are in. We need many participants; so, contact Jack or Gary Sutton to let us know you are interested in helping with this important step for success. Anyone interested in donating $125 for an additional tree can contact Gary. The following members have volunteered to maintain flowers on tee boxes and several other areas around the Country Club. Thank you very much for your time and effort to make our Club look welcoming and beautiful. 1. Susan Passmore 10. Becky Pumo 2. Tim & Lynne Van Alstine 11. Donna & Mark Twomey 3. Volunteers stepping up @ Your Club (cont.) The playground area has been a huge success thanks to the rapid and generous response of members helping fully fund this project. Once the funds were made available Beau Ingledue and his large team made it happen. Many hours were put in by Beau, Jason Robinson, Jason Cale, Jeff Sparks, Chris Stortzum, Scott Parke, Brandon Colley, Ben Beck, and Marlin France. Rich Westen not only provided and operated his equipment to get the initial rock out, and old timbers removed, but he also had paid staff from WI at the Club for two days making sure the project stayed on schedule. Thanks to the financial support and physical support the children again have a safe place to play.
