Four new designs can now be customized while incorporating any sponsor logos and team or club member names. The high-quality materials used in our short sleeve shirts and jackets are the same as what is used by Canada s champion teams - they are breathable, athletic, and designed specifically for curling. Goldline now makes it easier than ever for teams and clubs to design their own custom garments that are guaranteed to be unique. Select your favourite design and available colour combination. Logos and their placement must be the same on each garment within an order. All logo artwork must be provided in a vector format, for example,.ai or.eps. Pricing includes names on back of the shirts and jackets, plus up to four logos per garment. Logos can be placed on the left chest, right chest, left sleeve, or right sleeve. Minimum order: 12 pieces, which may be any combination of jackets and shirts in one design and colour. Production time is 3 weeks from final design approval. 11 PROTECTIVE HEAD GEAR OUR MISSION Goldline s protective headgear has been designed to reduce the possibility of serious injury from the most common and dangerous fall in curling - where the feet slip out and the fall is onto the back of the head. Two objectives guided development: Meet or exceed established standards of head protection. Have cosmetic appeal such that broad-based voluntary use would result. VISOR White Black Sizes: S/M or L/XL DESIGN The protective component was developed in consultation with Biokinetics, a company which develops materials and designs for ballistic and sporting protection, notably hockey and cycling helmets. TESTING Biokinetics advised that EPS (expanded polystyrene) would best manage deceleration and thereby minimize the secondary impact - that is the brain within the skull. The EPS part is designed to crush and thereby absorb impact in the event of a fall. As pictured, a drop test is used wherein the headgear is dropped from various heights onto a pad and the impact measured. To pass, the protective part must reduce impact such that it is less than 275g s. CONSTRUCTION The protective part is housed unobtrusively in a pocket within various hat styles. The pocket is zippered to facilitate easy removal of the protective part for washing. It is important that the protective headgear fits snug and is worn such that the protective part covers the apex of the head. All styles come with a removable chinstrap.
